It wasn't even some random dog it was literally a military dog.

It was there to kill them.

Even if this is the first story about hamas that's actually accurate, they would, at worse, doing the same thing to the idf but using combat troops that the idf is doing to civilians using food and medical aid.

Yeah, if the IDF had mounted cavalry would I be expected to condemn the Palestinian resistance for shooting horses? You deploy animals in a military situation you shouldn't be surprised if they get shot.

If I know the way the Israeli military hands out titles, there is no way that dog was anything less than a lieutenant colonel. Not exactly a civilian target.

they truly think everyone else considers killing one combat dog to be equivalent to or worse than killing 20,000 arab children

Lol, yeah I totally blame Palestinians for killing the dog trained to kill them, not the people who trained the dog to do that.

People can get weird about dogs. I'm uncomfortable around them because I'm autistic and having them jump all over me and bark is a sensory overload nightmare, and my brother got mauled by a neighbor's dog so badly he had to go to the hospital, but some people take my unease as proof that I'm Satan incarnate.

EDIT: Also I dunno why it happens, but I swear dogs hate me lmao. I've lost count of how many times I've heard "I don't know what's gotten into him, he's not usually like this" while a dog is barking at me like I'm a Terminator.

Dogs read microexpressions and like you said a lot of psychos become uneasy when someone isn't into dogs so their dog realizes the owner is uneasy and thinks they perceive you as a threat.

Dogs behaviors are just an extension of their owner's biases

Yeah, I despise Israel more now that I know they're using dogs as deployable weapons, and then if the dogs die, weaponizing their deaths to get more liberal sympathy points

"Oh no our wholesome squad pupperino Cujo was killed (after he murdered several children) upvotes please"

Idea for a bit: the DogFree vs ChildFree Israel/Palestine posting wars. ChildFree adopting a Zionist position for being pro dead baby while DogFree becomes Hamas supporters for shooting IDF war dogs.

No, but this might be the turning point in which I will have no remorse and in fact will see it as divine judgment when war finally comes for these stupid evil crackers and they are wiped out en masse.

One of the Ledditors called it "innocent". I love dogs. Most dogs are innocent. Police/Military dogs are abused to the point where they are incredibly violent.

There are probably IOF stormtroopers out there who are "innocent" and haven't done any violence yet. That doesn't make them any less legitimate targets for the resistance.

Being innocent or not has nothing to do with war. It is not a judicial process. You neutralise enemy combattants without investigating their individual motivations and actions first.

I've been saying this before but if the resistance wants the western public to turn against the zionist occupiers, there's a limit to hire much showing them images of dead and mutilated brown children is going to do, the average westerner is a low-effort nazi at heart who doesn't really care that much what happens to non-Aryans.

No, if the people running the English-language communication efforts of the resistance really want westerners to care they should show them how the zionist occupiers are mean to cats and dogs. Westerners care a lot about fluffy pets.

while this is certainly unpleasant, I'm not sure why this is considered world news vs the numerous other booby traps hamas sets up, including in childrens toys, baby strollers or rooms with child voice recordings speaking hebrew or arabic to lure soldiers in.

    Hasbara Projection at it's finest.

Israeli drones 'playing sounds of babies crying before opening fire'

“It headed towards the tents broadcasting the same crying. We called my cousin in the tents and told him, ‘Don’t fall for it. It’s just a sound system.’

“Abu Anas al-Shahrour, [from this] area, they shot him in the head.”

As well as sounds of women and children, residents also said the drones played sounds of gunfire, explosions and the movement of military vehicles.

The organisation Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor also reported residents occasionally heard songs in Hebrew and Arabic, which they argue is a form of "psychological intimidation".

Pro-Israel mob played the sounds of crying children on speakers in front of the pro-Palestine encampment at UCLA.

Colonialists and fascists consider their animals lives to be more important than the lives of the non white people they colonise and oppress. Been happening since the dawn of colonialism. Hitler was infamously into animal welfare. There's a ton of racism involved.
