Really excited to hear what the SCOTUS legal standard will be for "Fleeing for Safety From a Mob".

If this goes the way of the Castle Doctrine, the 9/11 hijackers will qualify by the time we're done.

Yeah pretty crazy how this is normal now. Reactionaries already fantasize about running over protesters they talk about it all the time and even defend whoever has done it. This is just giving them permission to run over whoever they think is a threat

Yeah that's honestly a bigger deal. This is a bill that essentially makes attending any protest a possible jail sentence with no bail and it makes organizing protests illegal if you can't be 100% sure that everyone will obey the law.

It's like the RAVE act but for protests. Enough to utterly chill all public gatherings. Fash as shit holy fuck...

And they can cast a broad net and round up anyone they feel like then hold you without bail until they get around to putting you in front of a judge.

Got to say the RICO thing is pretty worrying. That's some advanced criminalizing dissent stuff right there. And I guarantee it will be used to target socialist parties that organize these things and arrest and jail their leadership and valuable experienced organizers. The other stuff is all worrying but uh that RICO stuff, that's how they're basically going to outlaw socialist parties (or really any group to the left of the Democrats) that do anything more than mail newsletters advising to vote Biden. Not only that, if taken to it's logical conclusion it would absolutely allow seizing funds from them and basically in the end outlawing a particular group.

Also fuck you OP for not linking a source. You lazy piece of shit.

Ah yes if we make it so all protestors are suddenly on the hook when shit goes down that means when shit does go down, all your protestors have way way way more pressure to make sure the cops stop arresting people. I'm sure escalation is the proper tactic when you don't actually have popular support.
