They're more deserving of the uniform than most generals

One of those weird communism gotcha is like...how would you have garbage collectors or sewer maintenance dude, and it's like...pay em more, have it be close to a doctor or surgery tier gig where the less training is offset by the years of ick. This is fine. I make food, I'm owed a solid living of course and without profit motive working a restaurant becomes a labor of love for me instantly,.I'm Sisko's dad post revolution, I want to feed a bunch of people who don't want to cook that night or want a nice treat cause it's one in the same when basic needs are met. But compensation for the shittiness of a job or for the training needed should for sure still be a thing to me, that's fine, doctors and garbage collectors can both have a bit more than me, anyone can make food at home, not many can do a surgery and learning it takes a lot of time out of your day and hauling trash day by day should also be compensated for the how bad the job is. As long as money is still a thing, the people who take our gross stuff away should be given top dollar.

That’s pretty much how it works now. Their base pay isn’t huge but they get massive overtime opportunities. Plus their workday starts early so they have time to do things like doctors appointments after work.

One serves the community and the mob, and the other serves global imperialism and genocide. I know which one I’m supporting

Trash is fucking disgusting, so I treasure anyone willing to deal with it so I don't have to.
