I accused a redditor who made a post about how "Joe Biden isn't too old/they would vote for a ham sandwich over Trump/people calling Biden old are Russia bots" of just being too racist to vote for a black woman. They proceeded to write like a ~1000 word response detailing how they run a "voter education" non-profit that is affiliated with/funded by the Democratic party and all the work they have specifically done helping to get women of color elected. They promptly deleted that response after I told them to just say they were astroturfing next time.

Wow. I never got a reply that fantastic. The best I ever got was a redditor who said something like "I work on The Hill and I don't know any congresspeople who act like you are implying." I tried to get them to keep talking but they effectively stopped with that comment.

They way to get those people talking is to accuse them of lying.

Stephen King should’ve never been allowed to write in the first place.

The psyop around getting a bunch of popular liberal celebrities to "stand with Ukraine" was one of the state department's best bits of work in the last decade. People would've soured on the war a lot sooner if they didn't have Mark Hamill and the guy who wrote a story about angry meatballs supporting it.

That is lowkey kind of amazing. It is so lazy, I'd be surprised if it took him longer than half an hour, which is a tiny amount for 5 characters. They also look like they're there under duress. I think this sums up the liberal celebrity "support" really well. They take half an hour out of their day to do some half-assed "support" because they want to jerk themselves off over feeling like they're the good guys.

I’ve tried to write on those things and they’re such a hassle. The loud ass “ding” throws me off every time I’m deeply concentrating. The electric ones are much better.

I've never actually written on one. I have played with one in a museum as a kid, but just enough to see how they work mechanically. No paper or ink involved

They do seem like they'd be satisfying to use, maybe enough to get used to the noises and accept them as part of the process. The part that I'd find annoying is correcting mistakes. Nobody's a perfect typist no matter how much practice they get and maybe if my alternative were hand writing I wouldn't find it so bad but when I have computers at my disposal idk if I could put up with like a 3 step process to correct a typo

No, not really, you need to use some strenght, so your fingers start to hurt like hell after short while and you need literally develop calluses for it to stop. And idk what even happens after years of work, but i bet it's not pleasant considering all professional typewriters i met had hands looking like harpy talons.

Overall the main pros of this contraption is that it is faster and more legible than handwriting, but it's completely inferior to computer writing in all aspects except not requiring electricity to work, and that's also why no one except total nerds and 100 year old fossils use them anymore.

Has King written anything good lately? Even by Steven King standards which is pretty mid usually anyway? He should cut it out. Free some shelf space for someone else who hasn't written so many books that having a full collection is worse than getting all.the korok seeds in Zelda.

I'm sure he wrote something about a haunted Zune that tries to kill you by playing uptempo music to increase your heart rate to dangerous levels. In 2022.

Edit: He also showed up in the YouTube comments section on a video of George Lynch doing "Mr. Scary" with his solo band a few years ago, which was probably the least insufferable thing that King has written in a while.

Edit 2: I can't find the comment; I swear I saw it back in 2022. He might have deleted it one of the times that he was temporarily bullied off of YouTube. It's the pinned comment from "@chaosmusician" and it's a different Stephen King. lmao

it's intentional, what's being attempted is to make it look unreasonable to ask Biden to step down because King is also old and still writing. this asks the reader to endorse that writing books is as demanding and important as being president.

There is no fundamental difference between someone sitting at a wordprocessor and someone holding the codes to the most powerful nuclear arsenal in the world and having command of the world's largest military.

Also, yet another example of a lib trying to do political analysis but only being able to muster an analogy.

Never read a Stephen King book but I watched both It movies and they sucked. Stupid ass title that makes it impossible to talk about, the first movie sucked ass, just threw a bunch of characters at you and systematically dumped their backstory at you one by one. The characters didn't have personality beyond "main character", "fat" and "girl". The second movie opened well by immediately killing of the ginger and then there's just two hours of these guys fucking around, then they call the clown a clown and he dies.

What the fuck is the point of It? That fear can be conquered by laughter? Wow, well fucking done, Stephen King, unfortunately every children's media has already covered this. Is it that gay people only exist to die tragically? That 12 year olds having an orgy is fine actually? I watched these movies when I was a teenager and I thought they were stupid and I'm not going to watch them again
