Ephebophilia/hebephilia is completely normal. (Specifically the attraction - the practice itself should never be normalized in developed society.) Post-pubescent late teens have the characteristics that draw attention on visceral, erogenous/brain-impulse, mating/reproduction level.
There was a post in here about the 10 most dangerous books of the 19th and 20th century that included Nietzsche, Mao, and Marx, but the strange outlier of the group is the Kinsey Reports. The reason it's considered so controversial is because it was the first (and only) study of its kind to explore human sexuality. It reveals some uncomfortable trends that I'll let most people research themselves.
So have at it. Disparage the messenger and hand in my libertarian card. The data disagrees with you, though.
(Again, not in any way advocating on the practice)
What data? I would not recommend believing such theories until and unless the people who ran the study make transparent the sample population, sample size, methodology, and analysis.
E.g. If the researchers just used 10 random rich caucasian male cunts from an age range of 50-70 on Epstein's island to gather data, the results would be very different than if they used >10,000 people from an age range of 20-80 internationally across multiple cultures, ethnic backgrounds and "income levels".
The sociological data underlying the analysis and conclusions found in Sexual Behavior in the Human Male was collected from approximately 5,300 males over a fifteen year period. Sexual Behavior in the Human Female was based on personal interviews with approximately 6,000 women. In the latter, Kinsey analyzed data for the frequency with which women participate in various types of sexual activity and looked at how factors such as age, social-economic status and religious adherence influence sexual behavior. Comparisons are made of female and male sexual activities. Kinsey's evidence suggested that women were less sexually active than men.
I've only read things about the study, not done a deep dive. Your points are very valid. The links are there if you want to learn more.
The one thing that stuck out for me the most was that of those who had experienced intimacy at very early ages, most reported positive or pleasurable feelings when reflecting back. But the brain has a really wacky way of making sense of trauma, and those self-reports shouldn't be validated. I remember that being the biggest criticism of the study, but it goes into a lot more.
Eugenicists bring these sort of Darwinian concepts. It's exactly what makes us more enlightened and not simply animals, so the comparison doesn't work.
>but do you think chimpanzees waituntil a female chimp turns 18 before breeding with her?
Did you know chimpanzees fling diseased shit at each other and have a max lifespan of 40 years? This is like planning societal organization based on how some characteristics of our nervous system are similar to that of a lobster's. We are not chimps, we are humans.
>Being sexually mature comes well before 18in most people, so it follows that if someone is sexually mature, then they could also be viewed as sexually available.
I mean that it is normal in whatever sense that it is normal to be attracted to the idea of rape. I really don't care to argue about the definition of "normal" since that does not sound like a productive or interesting use of time whatsoever.
Sure, common is another word you could use to get across the same point.
I get what you mean. I remember watching a rape scene in a movie when I was younger and getting stupidly aroused. I felt such shame, like I was a monster. Eventually met this girl who opened me up to roleplay, and I figured out my sweet spot.
Back to the OP, I wonder how hard that must be if someone has an age fetish, for their partner to roleplay.
The thing is, it seems to me like it's also extremely common to do that kind of roleplay. dd/lg stuff (which frankly grosses me out) is practically mainstream. Some people don't even ask before springing that on you, like I've literally had girls call me "daddy" and I'm still a virgin! I don't really know how to interpret that aside from feeling that an absolutely massive number of people enjoy roleplaying incest between a child and their parent. Unless I'm missing something massive about that
parents often call each other by the nomenclature their children are expected to use, so as not to confuse young children. young girl then grows up having heard her mother refer to her father as daddy. her parents had loving relationship, she wants loving relationship, she feels good refering to significant other as daddy, not because of the illicit relationship implications, but because of the standard set for what a loving relationship looks like.
I think you don't need consent to fuck a figment of your imagination. If you start taking things further, it gets problematic. When you get to "I want to rape that girl", you've got a problem.
So, fantasising about a small woman with youthful features is fine. Start thinking of that idea as an actual child, and problems arise. If you get horny seeing children, see a psychiatrist.
Sure, feeling a desire to rape a specific real person is a pretty good line to draw and say, "you're going too far." But that would suggest that there's nothing ethically wrong with consuming and enjoying media depicting rape, as long as there are no real people involved in it, even if the fictional characters involved are children. Is that consistent with your views?

the issue with saying something is "normal" is that that in itself normalizes the thing.
youre not wrong its just that reality is awful
I totally agree. I just think not having an honest conversation about it creates mixed messaging.
yeah, i would instead say that those are "common" things, rather than "normal" things.
racism is common. murder is common. etc
they arnt "normal"
reality sucks. why are people the way they are?
Ah, thank you for the explanation. Yes, "common" is the much better descriptor.
anytime comrade

Ok but which country/regions were the 5,300 males and 6,000 females residing in?
This may also have had an effect on the validity in generalizing the results to a population of 7+ billion people.
Did the authors also talk about possible errors/flaws in their methods?

No, but if you think flat chest is biological imperative, go imperative.

You already did with your original post.

Did you mean that in like an evolutionary/instinct sense? And like mentioned above, did you mean to use common instead of normal?

or something
Maybe. I don't know.
I think part of it is just memetic, another is knowledge that it's somewhat taboo and is therefore exciting to boring or repressed people.
That's fair, I hadn't thought of it that way. I'm sure there is an element of that to it, but I don't think that's the full story.
Of course it's not a perfect cutoff where girls suddenly become attractive on their 18th birthday.
However, the second you describe someone you're attracted to as a Child, and remain attracted to them, something is wrong.
for the sake of argument, how do you feel about the exceedingly common attraction to the idea of rape?
I think you don't need consent to fuck a figment of your imagination. If you start taking things further, it gets problematic. When you get to "I want to rape that girl", you've got a problem.
