I'm here to kill time, make more comments so I have more stuff to read. Otherwise, this is basically Twitter.

I'll scroll through the front page and it's a ton of posts with only one or two comments. We can do better than that. Be commentunists. Semper Post.

Careful, having more replies than upvotes is struggle session territory

I was thinking our comment-to-vote ratio was pretty good. Terminally online, even.

    Also oatmeal raisin is amazing.

I have a hard time convincing myself to open a thread with only one comment, but will definitely open one with 4+.

Btw, if you bake, soak your raisins in egg/vanilla/bourbon before adding to the cookie batter

I just feel like I have not much to say, especially on topics I'm not read up on sometimes. On raisins though I'm convinced store bought are terrible because they are coated i in sugar. My neighbors give my parents a lot of grapes and I have gotten into drying them myself and they taste pretty good. I come from a family of diabetics so using something sweet with fiber seems to be a good substitute for sugar when baking.

being a blowhard who isn't informed on the topic is an american tradition. also, i like how unburnt cigarettes smell like raisins

True that, on the cigarette thing I'll take your word on it since I never smelled an unburnt one.Don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

I just wish the megathread sticky stayed at the top of the all-feed and not just !main, I think that would promote more interaction, though contained to one thread

I seem to recall a defiant statement of the pre-ban times that we will never stop posting. Then again, we fight less here. I guess it's a fair trade off

never stop posting ≠ required to always be posting

sometimes you just gotta go outside and enjoy the rain, comrade.

Was this some manchurian candidate shit or was it an old people brain shut down? Also, which is scarier?

Oatmeal rasin cookies are actually good if you appreciate them for what they are but people don't like them because they're expecting chocolate chip.

Weird, images always expand for me when I click them. Yeah the feed is updated all the time so the posts have often moved when you go back, that's annoying. Overall I preferred the previous more compact mobile layout but imo the site works well now
