I don't mean to be all "woe is me" but damn it really drives home the loneliness when literally the only texts I ever get are trying to get me to vote for some shit. or like, texts from my cell carrier trying to get me to upgrade my phone

and the only texts I ever send are just "STOP" lmao

lol I realized right after posting this that "political texts" could also mean theory. bit frankly I'm not reading any theory so I don't have that problem

Yeah lol I was gonna say I have friends but none of us read enough to get together and read the same theory, our attention spans are too fleeting.

    Its such a bad teasekitty-birthday-sad

And it sucks because my phone automatically IDs them as spam, but still leaves it as the first notification icon so I think it's a legit textagony-shivering

    TW: suicide

    nsfw

Imagine if you were a suicidal person and the last thing you see before you blow your brains out is a fundraising text from Chuck Schumer

"Hoo boy that last poll was a hell of a doozy! PLEASE donate $5 IMMEDIATELY to the DEMOCRATIC ACTION FUND so my grandaughter doesn't have to go to BUSHWICK!!!!"

Do what old people do and phone random businesses then talk about your dog for a half hour.

Actually, on that point, getting a pet might help a little

I grew up before poor people had cell phones and continue to see them as an enemy intrusion into my personal spacetime
harden your heart against the machines, notifications are but shadow puppets

yeah all the ways to do anything about anything require community when i have none and no access or ability to form one.

I'm not getting blacklisted from the DSA as a sex-pest because I want to suck off the hot candidate who managed to get their endorsement....he is hot enough though that i was like "maybe I should just go canvass" (liberalism) but he's MARRIED so he won't be seeing my twink ass running around for his campaign anytime soon.

you're not ranting at them about blueMAGA and how they're wasting their time volunteering for 98% hitler to beat 99% hitler?

It's always real people. The reason they are allowed to spam you is because it is considered the "freedom of speech" of the person sending the text. The opening text however is a prewritten form text that the person just spam clicked send on. Any additional back and forth will be with a person who will try to follow a script but sometimes will engage with you if your questions don't fit closely enough to their stock replies. If you come off too hostile or uninterested though they will just remove you from the list.
