It will be interesting to see if Americans start to take over the app, or two somewhat separate areas for English and Mandarin speakers will develop.

    2035

Dying under the glorious banner of Comrade Kardashian in the USA's People's War.

Personally I'm excited, much better than dying in the Great Lakes Water Wars of 2034 as feudal lords of old midwest battle for access to ports and fresh water as I previously expected.

She's gonna get banned so quickly for breaking some Chinese rule like "no extravagant displays of wealth on social media"

lathe-of-heaven Kim Kardashian becomes unapologetically socialist and dons stylish Soviet / CCCP atiare to appeal to a Chinese fashion line that nets her more than Western lines.

Nah they wont take over Americans will be minority, last i checked red note had 300 million users pre-ban so even if all US tiktok joins it they will only be 1/3 of the userbase

One type tiktok poster that i think will thrive there is the people that post US fast food tiktoks, RN people repost their tiktoks and get quite the numbers

yeah my guilty pleasure is watching some guy tour Seoul's convenience stores and trying their noodle bars, ripping through thousands of disposable plastic packaging like it's still 2003

Based on some of the initital videos on setting up my account, I think China is cooking the US on the burger-technology front.

I don't feel like getting xiaohongshu levels of pretty to post a video, but I bet just getting different candies and chips would do really well

I mean the interface sure. If there were an efficient LLM for autotranslation that would be good too, but I don't think that's worth it with current energy costs. It's pretty neat to see all the language learning resources on there right now, it could be a great environment for practice.
