There's a constant push from some vocal players to defed from hexbear. They'll say anything, even things that don't make sense together cuz the shotgun style is effective. All they need is a knee-jerk reaction, a first impression. If a user comes here and has a good experience, the prop will fall apart, but no amount of propaganda would stop that from happening, right?

But if someone comes in libbin it up and gets rolled, those knee-jerks come up ready to serve a course of denial and dismissal. I guess those excuses are easier to swallow than the hearty bowl of self-criticism

The more vocal ones usually have extensive modlogs filled with bigotry, which is always helpful to point out.

That user has a pattern of discrediting trans users' identities if they disagree politically. They also believe Lenin wasn't a Marxist and blocked me for asking why they thought that, so you can imagine that they disagree with quite a lot of people politically.

Hexbear is the only community in existence that doesn’t have the majority want the entire lgbt community dead. What are they even on about?

I hear so much about how Hexbear is Transphobic and some kind of “Nazi left”, but I never see anything. I must not be on the real Hexbear.

We are a boogieman to them at this point.

I've read so much shit pulled out of their asses about us.

It at least made some sense when we we're "fanatic dictator supporters" or part of a Russian troll farm, but then I started reading about how we all pretend to be trans so we can have a pass to harass trans people, and how we can't contain how big of Elon Musk fanboys we all are.

There's no longer any logic to it, it's the blue maga version of Republicans raging about Islamomarxist Satan worshiping democrats. They've been stringing together all the greatest hits for making them mad for so long, they can no longer separate them.

Like the hate version of wish fulfillment. They want us to be Russian GPT or bigots so they can safely dismiss us without having to engage with our arguments. That's what the outrage is for. We violate their worldview because we don't fit neatly into one of the little boxes they can safely discard.

You can have non violent revolutions.

yes, and we call those counter revolutions. show me an actual revolution where porky-happy just said "oh well, i guess i'll go home".

the nonviolent ones were (some of) the counter revolutions at the fall of the soviet union, for example.

Lmao, somehow I doubt they'd take issue with calling us "tankies" when it fits within their definition of a slur.

"Umm, tankie is different because it denotes someone who supports X political stance. It's different from calling someone a lib which denotes Y political stance"

A revolution is a dinner party, or writing an essay, or painting a picture, or doing embroidery; it can be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous. A revolution is not an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrows another.
