Okay the first one of these I get it. But the most attention should be on those removed comments at the bottom of the list. So from the bottom:

What's the purpose of removing a comment asking @MomoTimeToDie@sh.itjust.works what a 'momo' is and why it's 'time to die'? Doesn't that seem like a good fucking question? Why is a mod stepping in on this? If I were a moderator I sure would want to know what's up with that.

What rule is broken by saying their instance is bad? And in reply to a story about naked unashamed bigotry being allowed on it no less.

A smarmy little paragraph calling out someone for being toxic and whining about toxicity in return? Nary an expletive.

And just what the hell is wrong with the comment second from the top?

Libs love to worship free speech and the marketplace of ideas, until anyone left of them starts talking. They dont even hide it, its fucking maddening.

I feel like bringing your drama from another instance into hexbear isn't helpful. Also, I'm not saying you were wrong, but you were pretty hostile.

There will be a time when we vote on whether to stay federated with them and I feel this post is helpful in the service of that deliberation

I don't think this poster was making any valid points over there. This isn't highlighting as much as you might think. Even though the mod actions were a bit harsh, he was being hostile, which would get a comment removed here too.

Edit: like really, I am ignorant. Is "Momo" slang for an oppressed group that I'm not aware of?

There are only two contexts in which I've heard the term 'momo'. One is a cartoon monkey. The other is homosexuals.

And I guess now that I google it there's some kind of meme with a creepy drawing

I think that person's name is in reference to the creepy picture. It's one of those zoomer "don't call this number at 3am or you will die!" kinds of clickbait video things that were popular a couple of year ago.

The mods were clearly just deleting all your comments because they don't want you there. Don't waste your time dealing with dipshits like that.

Edit: based on the quality of their other comments here it could be them using a homophobic dogwhistle after all.

im pretty sure it's just an avatar the last airbender reference.

momo is a pretty edgy individual, but I haven't seen any racism coming from them. Of course if you have examples, please feel free to share them.

      The same mod:

      Show

Hexbears, we have to let people call us slurs on lemmy to make communism happen! Forget real life organizing, we just need to post harder!

(I didn't realize how bad this instance was when I voted to federate...)

Surely this must be ironic? Hell, the blackpilled third-worldists have better analysis than this.

My post with the screenshot is, if that's what you mean. I'm not really sure what their mod is cooking.

I meant their mod's take that the internet is more important than real life organizing, which is just outlandish.

              Yeahh it is lol

Other than that, their point was something like we aren't being civil enough to people talking down to us and insulting us so we're betraying communism by not trying to "evangelize" to them and "ensuring our community is never relevant enough to enact real change". They literally said "Marx would be ashamed of you people" lol. Incredible civility-brained, self-important stuff.

But sure, Lemmy is just where you take out your frustrations on the libs after a hard day's work ineffectively unionizing and canvassing for irrelevant leftist politicians. Good luck with that, you're really making a difference 👏

              lmao

If they think we're ineffective at convincing people of the good of communism, they should check out this site called shitjustworks! It doesn't even ban fascists, libertarians, or racists (but I repeat myself)!

The main mark against them being the real imaqtpie is the real imaqtpie was a massive shitposter with none of the self-importance displayed by this loser. He still streams at Twitch apparently, so I seriously doubt he would waste his time being an admin of some shitty Reddit clone lol

in regards to the name, if I were to be charitable, it's likely a reference to an older zoomer shock image meme, or they're Captain Aizen from Bleach.
