We love our public bathrooms, don't we folks? And the weeds growing out of it will appreciate the watering and all that lovely fertiliser.

It's your 05 August 2020 Megathread and Joe Biden is still a rapist. I wish I was headed to the Costa del Sol for some bussy, but all I can make do with is the ol plastic while the folks are out the house. Sad!

Calling yourself progressive is a grift to get people who don't look at policies to vote for you.

It has value to have a name for the people that form the left wing of the democratic party, and are opposed to it's leadership. It's a real phenomenon and you need something to name it to talk about it. Words like socialist or socdems are inaccurate and always lead to endless semantic debates. "Progressive" is the term that has lead to the least amount of semantic debates when people are trying to talk about the issue, so it's the term people use. If you have a better idea, let's hear it.

Can we talk about the explosion in lebanon? Holy shit that's devastating. Seeing all the damage it did looks unreal. Like a scene out of fallout.

I can't imagine dealing with something like this on top of the pandemic and a shit economy. Unbelievable that they just left thousands of pounds of explosives laying around in a port in a major city.

Lebanon's government is already buckling from anti-austerity protests so I honestly think the consequences of this could tip the entire state into conflict. Even if it was an accident, having your main trade port be blown up is a recipe for instability.

Cori Bush losing by double digits and then 2 years later ousting a 20 year incumbent gives me some hope that people are waking up to the fact that Moderate Dems have literally no interest in opposing Republicans and the only way to rectify this is to vote them out

My local labour MP came out in support of a transphobe. And now members of the local CLP are congratulating him. I'm actually glad I'm not out of the closet yet, I can't begin to imagine the shit I'd have to deal with.

The problem with pissing on my grave is you eventually run out of piss

This is why organizing is so important. One person cannot possibly maintain a constant stream of piss onto Thatcher's grave for more than about 30 seconds. However, 500 people working in shifts and keeping well hydrated? Thatcher's grave could remain permanently moistened with urine.

If they could make it opt-in or only active on a per thread basis but not site-wide, that would be perfect.

if they could make it not shift around comments that you're in the middle of reading that'd be nice. idk how you'd go about coding that though

Could NOT find the MegaThread searching through Hot, kinda messed up.

I came here because some lib said the posting was slowing down. Well guess what, buckaroo, I just passed the second core of the certification exam I've been studying non-stop 9 months for and it's time for some fucking shitposting. It even turned me off of being a g*mer - I haven't logged onto Steam in 90 days. I'm probably going to use this newfound freedom to take more time to read theory and preparation to unionize whatever conglomerate employs devours my soul.

And, it's muh birfday this weekend. :amerikkka: :acab: :kropotkin-shining:
