“is worth noting that there's no suggestion that these members have committed espionage"

Jesus Fucking Christ so you basically just released the data of two million innocent Chinese people, greatly increasing the chances that some random dipshit is gonna off some of them. And this is gonna cause further stigmatization of Chinese, and of course all Asian people, wherever they are. Bullshit. They've demonized Muslims (which effects all brown people), Mexicans (which effects all South America), and now they are gonna do the same for all East Asian people. You better believe that the "Communist party branches" is gonna be used to crackdown on any unions that are forming in the face of increasing oppression at these companies.

      Yes, pretty much.

While it is possible to climb without being a party member (for instance you could be a member of another party), it’s incredibly helpful, and very competitive.

Doesn’t “CPC member” describe basically every Chinese citizen who has some level of civic engagement?

Official party membership isn't like US party affiliation, were you simply declare yourself prior to a primary vote. It's more akin to getting a job certification or a degree. CCP membership is admittance to an elite club obtained by demonstrating both doctrinaire understanding and support.

Particularly in the wake of Xi's Premiership, it is more about operating as a real movement vanguard. In a country of billions, actual accredited CCP members are a slim minority.

Wow, this just so happens to perfectly align with the Yellow Peril narrative that has been relentlessly disseminated in the west for centuries. Very cool.

It also happens to have been brought to light by IPAC, the modern-day Eight-Nation Alliance. Cool, cool.

leak demonstrates party branches are embedded in some of the world’s biggest companies and even inside government agencies

BREAKING NEWS: PARTY IN POWER MAY HAVE CONTROL OVER THEIR GOVERNMENT

is worth noting that there's no suggestion that these members have committed espionage

well you see, the presumption of innocence is only when it's about people I like, not these filthy yellow commies (who are breeding might I add)

This so clearly a CIA job and not some chinesw dissidents, i cant wait for the people mention in the leak to misteriously dissapear/die inside western countries and them blaming it on chinese agents coventing their tracks.

Now "peacefull" Biden :biden-nibble: is gonna take power and continue the policy of encirclement while blaming china for is "agression" i bet the segregationist is gonna built bipartisant concentration camps for suspected CPC member (aka chinese) while the dems celebrate Unity :liberalism:

    Death to America :amerikkka:

I thought you were kidding, but no, the article is straight up talking about branches of the Communist Party being secretly embedded in foreign companies and governments. Very cool.

It always amuses me that people use the word "CCP member" as if the CCP was some intelligence organization and not just a fucking political party.

      Parties have members too??

I guess people don't usually call registered dems/republicans and operatives "members" but that's only because US parties in particular are weird as fuck and no one understands them. But, like, there is nothing weird with using "member", it's not a loaded term, every party ever has members.

oh yeah i didn't mean it that way, I was saying how being a party member is a completely normal thing, but these articles say it as if "CCP member" meant that these people dedicated their lives to the CCP.

I mean we call political partymembers of the DNC and RNC "operatives", so maybe it's another form of projection.

All the twitter libs will be screeching about how it's your patriotic duty to condemn your local chinamen chinese population as spies and will be groveling at Biden's feet begging for him to send them all to camps.

“Communist party branches have been set up inside western companies, allowing the infiltration of those companies by CCP members - who, if called on, are answerable directly to the communist party, to the Chairman, the president himself,”

    Very cliche and intimidating claim.

You can picture Winnie the Pooh laughing evilly and pressing a button on his desk as a pointy antenna with a red dot springs from the top of the heads of these thousands of CCP members and they stare forward and say, in a robotic voice, must. steal. intellectual. property.

Yea, the stupid thing about this is that it all just boils down to intellectual property. There is some scary hints at other possibilities, but the main fear is they steal our business. The weapons designs could be a real threat if there was some future potential for war, but that's kind of on us to start.
