for example, if you google "a charlie brown christmas parent directory" you get the full movie instantly after clicking the second result and then the mp4 file (and there's no ads or anything like say 123movies)

this seems to work for most movies and you can download it by simply saving the video. doesn't seem to be as many options for TV shows tho afaik

Reminds me of how I used to find albums by googling album name 320kbps

Doesn't seem to work too well anymore :deeper-sadness:

It's not prosecution that's the problem.

If you get a certain amount of "strikes" from your ISP (i.e. say you downloaded 5 torrents that had companies like Disney tracking them), your ISP can shut off your internet permanently. They'll send you letters, but let's say you never got the letters (cuz you know, the postal service has been fucked recently): well it doesn't matter. This happened to someone I know. One day the internet was cut off and they had to call the company and find out what happened. The company restored the internet but told the person that the number of "strikes" was still there, even though they claimed ignorance. So that person only has like one or two "strikes" left before they permanently shut off the internet.

I've been using torrentz2 to search for torrents, but it's been down for a long time, is there another torrent search engine? I'm really not interested in the newest blockbuster movies, I search for older obscure movies and torrentz2 was pretty good for it.

Wait really? I need an answer to this. It's literally decriminalised in most countries and you can get 3 strike ruled on it?

Pretty sure the bill specifies streaming for the purpose of making money. So like, YouTubers who take money from subscribers, etc.

AI indexed websites. This actually opens up a niche to bring up a good point about the way big tech works. They have almost unlimited surveillance and information capacities, but the information is so insanely vast and the systems themselves so complicated, that often things are lost in the noise.

Another easy way to stream films for free is Stremio, it's supposed to be for paid services but it's easy to install addons that stream directly from torrents. The UI is also pretty good and it'll remember how much you've watched if you don't finish stuff
