Weird, I leave for 2 weeks and the place goes to hell.
Stop caring about dumb internet drama and post good shit.
No, we will not be having a struggle session about this in here because we need to win actual power and not spend days arguing about dumb shit that some fellow in Langley is posting about on chapo.chat.
I think it's less the content of the drama and more the fact that one long epic post by a power user derailed the entire community
I sympathize, I think anytime "drama" comes up especially in places you're not expecting it people can overtime get callous to it. Big part of being a Lefty is having the mindfulness and responsibility to not let yourself succumb to it.
That being said, it seems like everyday is a "struggle session" for one reason or another. I think it's fair to say it gets grating after awhile.
Not trying to advance anything, I didn’t really care about any of this until I saw Beatnik acting like an asshole, sorry if it came across as me using the situation for my own reasons. Seeing that really pissed me off and I got needlessly heated about it. I’ll delete the original comment, my bad again
Petition to remove all mods and admins and add a feature to democratically manage this community?
Please. Things can only get so online. A gabbling mass of screen poisoned yanks fighting over the control levers is a lovecraftian level of bollocks
I think it'd be better than the current situation. Have a vote for banning users and stuff, majority rules.
What the hell no, that would be insane, imagine how much of a nightmare it would be if you had to vote for every small action mods do and it had to have a delay of like two days so most users would get a say. Shit would fall apart fast.
I'm thinking you would get a sample of like 10 users before performing an action as big as a permaban. Would only take a few minutes. You don't need a thousand votes to get a good idea of what should happen and what shouldn't. There would be no mods, it would all be run automatically and power would be to the people. Might take some time to build but once it'd be done it would be a definite improvement imo and decisions might even happen faster considering there's maybe a couple mods but hundreds of people online at any given time.
cries about 'dumb internet drama'
continues argument about 'dumb internet drama'
You mean, like, we could all vote one what posts should go up and what posts should go down? naw, it would never work
yesterday there was some fucking post on here asking where to buy research chemical benzos and people were commenting on it with links. I can't tell if this place is infiltrated or just full of idiots.
I was really happy to see this community survive the reddit ban but the admins and are clearly incapable of managing it long-term. If this forum doesn't die by epic posts from slighted narcissists then the DEA or basic bitch cops will get it way before Langley.
this does seem like the exact kind of site to find people who buy clearweb research chemicals though.
It is, but it's still not a good idea. I've seen a lot of drug-related sites that have a clear "no sourcing, no hookups" policy, and it makes perfect sense when you consider that these drugs only stay legal as long as they fly below the radar. Posting direct links to a vendor is usually the one thing a drug-related board doesn't allow people to do, even if all the drugs the vendor stocks are legal (which is often impossible to say, because legality varies so much from place to place). As a user, a hype around your favorite RC is the last thing you want, because that is usually the final step before it turns from RC to schedule 1 drug, or before a vendor goes from being a trusted source to getting busted.
On this site, there's also the added risk that law enforcement may have other reasons to frame users. The war on drugs has always been used to arrest and imprison leftists. Everybody discussing drugs here should be aware of that and decide for themselves how much they want to link their account to one of the easiest ways to lock up dissidents that has a clear historic track record of being used for just that. I'm open on this site with my drug use, but i'm also not American. I don't think i'd discuss drugs as freely if i lived in the US.
Nah, the people who posted links were cool. I don't know the exact context of that thread, but there are very few people I'd wish benzo withdrawals on, so I'm glad our comrades are willing to help out by sharing clearnet links. Very glad this place is one of the few places on the internet that doesn't shame people for using drugs.
I didn't even leave and I have no idea what anything is about. Twitter drama is juicy and concise, drama on this website is always five pages long and extremely dry and boring.
Don't reply with drama in here either, celebrate the fact that by the Senate's own rules Bernard Sanders will be in charge of the federal budget in a very short amount of time.
wait, they still exi-no of course they fucking do god dammit.
CMV: Dialectical Materialism is the shoddiest part of Marxism, and seems like a makeshift framework to avoid coming out and saying "Communism would be an objectively morally superior to structure society" which they just should've done.
Dialectics are cool but dialectical materialism can be a bit arrogant.
The dialectical method can definitely be quite useful as a heuristic, you can certainly use it to gain insight into a lot of things. Unfortunately using it can also have you end up with might seem like a profound aphorism but that's truth-content is dubious as best.
ever hear that joke about a fascist firing line versus a leftist firing line?
a fascist firing line is a bunch of guys with guns shooting at one guy.
a leftist firing line is different because everyone has a gun and they're standing in a circle.
leftists: "haha I love dialectical materialism, so woke"
also left: "wtf people have conflicts, and the world keeps turning, I'm scared!"
