If you have over a billion dollars you cannot be "harassed" - that word cannot be applied to you.
What about if like, three seagulls attacked you at the beach but you weren't even holding ice cream or anything
"Mr. Deff Nezos, fictional person, and the remnants of his security team, who were holed up with him in his residence, suffered from constant harassment by armed guerrilla forces until their eventual surrender."
Has it gotten even worse over the last few years? Because I remember them being fairly milquetoast bullshit by reputation, but they seem to have been downright awful for the last little bit.
They're S Tier now, ie shit tier. They had some guy on All Things Considered explaining away the GME RobinHood bullshit, and you could feel the market induced sweats dripping off him as he kept trying to skirt around the issue by saying that retail investors just wanted to get back at people "they believe" to be "rich jerks". The whole tone was some hand wringing bullshit that completely sidestepped the issue of hedge funds gambling
they have been swinging to the right over the past 20 years but they dived deep into "bothsidesism" during the last Obama administration and then really started to veer right during the last Democratic primary season and that's when I decided it wasn't worth the aggravation anymore.
love this discourse because anything they are referred is gonna become a slur anyway
Any sort of disagreement or dislike of people is now racist.
Remember how a bunch of shitheads tried to make "terf" a slur? Like terf even does them better than they deserve because it still calls them radical and feminist despite being neither of those things. Hey thanks for the free horse but what's his teeth look like?
the entire neoliberal machine gearing up to not put this 'crisis' to waste, but only the hedge funds profiting wildly off the hype are doing anything material so the rest of them are left to flail at anything they possibly can in the service of capital
the lesson from gamergate that a lot of media got wasnt "don't get angry at people based on sex/gender/etc" it was "don't get angry, everything's good, there's nothing to be mad at"
Yeah, some PR firm is in on this, and frankly they are doing a pretty good job to come up with shit like this
Are they? Seems like they're trying way too many angles at once to give anything the space it needs to work, and makes it obvious they're throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.
I would assume something is at work. This is professional level gaslighting style PR crisis management. Idk who or what group might be reasponsible, but yeah
Oh I have no doubt professionals are at work here, I just think they're either doing a bad job. It's probably too many separate firms working at once.
Bodies and spaces for the parasites who's riches come from destroying both.
g*mers pissing themselves over some journalists and hedge funds getting BTFOed is the exact same thing
I'll admit up until 2016ish I was all on board the NPR train and then how they did Bernie dirty soured me. I slowly stopped listening. First during the day. Then drive time. Then weekends. I've been free of the NPR virus for about 2 years or so.
Now when it comes on, its so obviously plays to those with LiberalRot in their brain, it's fucking jarring. No one naturally talks that way. No one naturally thinks this way. Their even-handed, means-tested takes are fucking terrible and honestly, usually kind of infantile. It reminds of when my 6 year old pretends to be an adult.
same happened to me. i love their interviews but the politics were horrid.
Holy shit, twitter is such a fucking dumpster. Dumbfounded that twitter people have the gall to bitch about reddit or whatever after reading a thread like this. Fucking smug nazis exchanging snarky one-liners with smug neolibs. Worst shit I've seen in quite some time.
The same NPR that supported an abuser for president? Yeah OK NPR I really care a lot about how you view harassment
