    I don’t know why we are yelling but I only peel the potatoes if there are tags or the skin looks bad.

    I just thought we as human beings had a collective understanding of the philosophy of “different strokes for different folks”. Whether this applies to potato skins, political ideologies or sexual positions people all have different taste. While I don’t disagree with threads like this cause we all have our pet peeves I do worry that these threads have turned into street fights for some. I know it has for me.

      INCORRECT. PEELING POTATOES IS OBJECTIVELY REACTIONARY BECAUSE IT WAS SOMETHING INVENTED TO KEEP HOUSEWIVES AND LOW RANK SOLDIERS BUSY AND DEMORALIZED WHILE ACTUALLY MAKING FOOD WORSE BECAUSE ALL THE NUTRIENTS ARE RIGHT UNDER THE POTATO SKIN

        Nobody loves potato nutrients more than me lol

        I prefer skin on, especially in mashed but I’m not allowing a tag to get in there. Also if we are talking mashed, I’ll do skin on almost all potatoes but russet. Leaving the skin on those for mashed just kind of makes a sloppy limp mess in the middle of the potatoes.

        Like I said, it’s contextual but it’s almost always skin on for me.
