He's done plenty of things that are good. He's not a bad president because literally every action he takes is bad, he's a bad president because none of the actions he takes, even the good ones, pose any threat to the structural imbalances that are at the root of his country's problems.
The problem with acting like Biden hasn't made any improvements whatsoever, is that someone who reads articles about Biden giving legal status to millions of immigrants or canceling the keystone XL pipeline will just assume you're arguing in bad faith and stop listening.
But he hasn't touched Trump's tax cuts, which was an obscene blow to the working class. He hasn't dismantled ICE and fired every one of it's gestappo thugs. And he doesn't want to give people healthcare while a plague tears the country apart. And all the little things he's doing are bandaids slapped on bullet holes, and the American working class is bleeding out faster than these little incremental improvements are helping.

:10000-com:
fucking exactly.
what is so annoying is that libs are treating him like the second coming of fdr. like, i would understand people staning him if he actually was, and i'd grumble and talk about how that's just bullshit keynesian capitalism that will crash or whatever but he isn't even doing that! and they're still celebrating him! like....the fuck??? do you genuinely have no expectations from your government?
Bernie would have been better than FDR. Still not good enough but better than FDR.
I swear this post needs to be pinned somewhere under "how to talk to liberals".
Saying "Biden is just a Republican" or "Biden has done nothing" is an objectively false statement and it is not Biden apologia to say so. Biden is a piece of shit because he set the bar at "undo the worst of Trump's excesses and basically give people Obama-era vibes again". That goal includes smal;, marginal material improvements to the lives of the domestic working class. You would rather be an immigrant under Biden than Trump. You will have fewer pipelines built under Biden than Trump. You sure as fuck would rather organize your workplace under Biden than Trump. You would rather be an LGBT person under Biden than Trump. None of this is incompatible with the fact that Biden is fine with greasing the wheels of capital with our blood.
Not sure how coherent this is, but my simple stupid argument for libs is that if they only care about politics to resist Trump, how is Biden going to change our trajectory in a meaningful way?
The Keystone XL thing is just wrong though, he may have stopped new construction but there is still a fuckload of petroleum being shipped through the existing pipelines that were built under the previous presidencies.
He fired a bunch of anti-union people from the NLRB and the Federal Labor Relations Authority and replaced them with pro-union people. This is important and good. We're still in a nosedive.
Broke: banning trans people from the military
Woke: letting them in
Bespoke: banning everyone from the military.
The significant thing about Biden is how much of Trumpism he quietly keeps in place because that is now the new bipartisan consensus that gets tossed in the ideological trashcan. Stuff like the trade war and atrocity propaganda against China, pretending Giuado is Venezuela Pres, immigrant children in cages, etc.
the sanctions against Iran that trump imposed after illegally breaking the nuclear deal? Biden is keeping them, and telling Iran they won't be lifted until they act as if the deal was still in place. The deal that we broke.
Here you can read his EOs:

He has restored dignity and civility to the White House and healed the division in America's soul. What more could you possibly want?
even if he has do you think anyone here would know or admit it?
Ended private prisons.
Normalized relations with Palestine.
Stopping funding to Saudi aggression against Yemen? (I'm not sure what stage this one is at.)
he ended the federal ones, and the majority are state ones
and yeah it didn't affect the immigration stuff
didn’t affect the immigration stuff
He ended the "Wait in Mexico" policy and pressured Guatemala to beat up/send back refugees before they make big enough news in the US.
I read that the private prisons thing was only under very particular circumstances, so it's mostly just for show. Don't remember the source though
He's cut off operational support, like in-air refueling and inteligence sharing for the Saudi and UAE bombings of Yemen. Arms sales are 'under review.' Not sure if they'll be canceled or if they'll just have to pinkey promise not to misuse them. The most important was probably undoing the Houthi terrorist designation.
Normalized relations with Palestine.
Literally what does this even mean? Because Biden is keeping the Israeli embassy in Jerusalem.
It means restored aid and lines of communication with Abbas
