Are you saying that a decade of hysterics over Dems slowly bleeding away their majorities under Obama and then surrendering every vestige of power to the GOP under Trump was all for nothing?

No. No. It can't be. Sinema is a GIRL BOSS. She is going to Make America Great Again. We just need to Trust In The Plan.

Bootlicking in the thread is hilarious. They don't even have an argument for why the minimum wage shouldn't be raised or in the bill, so they're thrashing around aimlessly to the point of incoherence. Check this out: https://i.imgur.com/wO59rpu.png

What freedom is even being defended by denying working people a living wage?

They don’t even have an argument

"We don't owe you anything!" is, perhaps, a better line than "Let them eat cake".

What freedom is even being defended by denying working people a living wage?

Less what freedom and more what slavery.

There is a complete lunatic argument claiming that people have some kind of monetary value pegged to their existence, as in, some people are only capable of generating $4 per hour, thus they should have the freedom of working for that amount. If a minimum wage is set at $15, this means the $4 per hour person cannot legally hold employment, nor can they gain enough "skills" to become worth $15 per hour.

It's possibly one of the most callous things I've ever heard and is on the surface completely evil. It completely disregards the needs of working people, disregards the fact that the bourgeoisie set wages not some kind of magical number floating above the heads of workers, and disregards how much surplus is stripped from workers regardless of the wage they're paid.

People with this kind of bullshit libertarian outlook truly see reality as a video game like Minecraft.

Yeah, forcing people into poverty, making them not being able to buy things except for absolute necesseties, which will hurt businesses (especially the smaller ones), is totally a 200 IQ smart economic decision. #girlboss

Honestly, getting more as I have aged has actually pissed me off more, watching friends and family less fortunate than me suffer at the hands of a system indifferent to their pain.
