Easily explained by how your metabolism slows down when you get older. That's why it's harder to lose weight the older you get.

It's simple when you put it that way but eating disorders make it a lot more complicated than that.

          CW: Discussion about eating disorders

During "binge" days I sometimes eat more than 4000 calories in a day (I actually counted it once), then during other days it's 5pm when I've realised I've only had half a cup of yogurt for breakfast and an energy bar for lunch, if I even ate that day.

The trick is to surround yourself with food and mindlessly consume. Then you gain too much weight and have the opposite problem. :deeper-sadness:

Surprised to see so many comrades report they lost weight. To counterbalance a bit: I gained around 20lbs in the past year.

yeah, i gained over 30lbs. i was already gaining some weight before covid hit but being stuck at home definitely made me eat a lot more often just out of boredom.

Millenials are just about all metabolism slowdown and starting to fall apart faster age at the young end, so that makes sense.

I was up 25 pounds at my heaviest. Currently around 17 ish, so a little better, but it's damn hard making up for my overall loss in fitness. It feels like lost 3 years of progress I had made before that.

i gained around 10lbs i think. working on it though, part of it was just not finding good enough places outside to go for long walks or bike rides without encountering dozens and dozens of people—a lot not wearing masks on a trail or recreational area. I also stopped stress eating as much! And switched back to veggie snacks over heavy carbs

I drank booze and ate extra cheddar gold fish everyday for three months and gained like 40lbs. Started working out for the rest of the pandemic and I'm now10lbs lighter then when it started.

I already had a nice gut when the pandemic started and it's only gotten worse. Haven't formally weighed myself in a while but I'd guess I've gained 15-20lbs in the last year.

I gained about 20 pounds in 2020.... Im short so it was pretty disappointing seeing the scale start with a 2 in december. Lost about 5 so far in 2021 but most of my weight came from drinking I think so cutting back on that has helped.
