can't wait for v*ushite radlibs to try and swarm this site and get posted on so fucking hard they never shut up about us

I'm curious why nobody in QAnon hasn't picked up on Vaush. He's a "leftist" who's actually on record supporting child grooming. You think they'd have a field day with that.

Because QAnon doesn't actually target real world paedophiles, they'd lose half their leadership if they did that.

Some of the people they target probably are actual pedophiles. They just don't care about the Pedos in their own ranks.

I think there was one time someone moderately well known person brought up his CP statements on Twitter, AND LIKE THE NEXT DAY some fairly prominent journalist wrote an article on their blog defending him and nobody discussed it ever again. But sadly I don't recall the details.

For me that seemed more a confirmation he's an Op than anything.

You could argue that's a sort of "limited hangout" for him. They let him be pro-palestine cuz they know the pro-israel bloc is so powerful that his opposition is meaningless. Plus most people with even moderately left scruples is pro-palestine so him being an Israel stan would blow his over. Meanwhile if he took a more controversial stance on anything more contentious he could actually guide baby leftists in the right direction.

Nah. A considerable part of his followers were very much on Israel's side immediately after October 7th and he was firmly pro-Palestine the whole time. He argued with his fans on twitter and wanted his subreddit to be purged because of how pro-Israel it was. It was a real heartbreaking moment and there's no way he hasn't swayed some of his followers over to the pro-Palestine side.

He's not an op, he's just a lib and an awful person.

QAnon is basically normie-pop culture egregore of removedd memories and feelings that have been accruing at the seams of capitalist thought since WW2. Vaush is not along the continuum yet. Maybe in 15-20 years.

i've seen q anon types post vaush's pedo takes and try to frame it on Communism. that has definitely happened before.

every day we get a second closer to being dubbed part of the tankosphere and it becoming the """mainstream""" opinion of terminally online chaser loving radlibs that veganism is a form of red fascism

I'm occasionally reminded of the guy that tried making reddit-logo subs specifically to talk shit about us but I'm pretty sure most of the people who joined were from here.

Semi related but, isn't it weird that this site has basically faced no organized opposition after the Kerry spammers? Closest thing was when we federated, but it was mostly random libs roaming into our powerful posters and getting obliterated. I guess there just isn't that much interaction between Lemmy and Reddit.

I think that's partially from the mods being so on top of banning wreckers that they never get a chance to build up steam.

True. But you'd expect subs on reddit-logo like tankiejerk or noncredibledefense to brigade us. I guess they just don't know about us.

these kinds of subreddits only arise in reaction to communities on reddit because they understand the whole site as their turf. If we had a habit of regularly brigading and linking on anything like the scale of SRS or r/cth then they'd care about us, but this is literally just some small forum.

Short answer: He's a moderately popular drama streamer who's politics are about as left as Bernie's domestically and about as right as Reagan's in terms of foreign policy.

Long answer: He's basically First World "Leftism" incarnate. Whenever someone puts scare quotes around the word "anarchist", what they're imagining is Vaush. As such he's become sort of a totem, a caricature, a representation of everything actual communists hate about most other leftists, which is why they dedicate so much time to hating him. There seems to be this idea that if we can take him down we can destroy first-world-baby-leftism.

If that ever happens it would cause a deluge of new users and (with a little bit of patience from the mods) would result in some coming around.

Which is precisely why he won't do it.

He also already knows that hexbear is the source point of all of the entire anti-vaush campaign that caused him so many problems. So he's probably particularly concerned about poking it. hexbear-shining

People all over reddit hate him because of work to build an evidence base against him that started here. All the bots and the subreddits against him came from people here and their extended connections in teams elsewhere. enough_vaush_spam was started by me and 1 comrade from /r/greenandpleasant.

Also what’s the story on there being two enough vaush spams? There’s one with underscores but also a smaller one without, and the one without says “under new management,” and there’s an old /r/thedeprogram post saying the no underscores one used to have a no tankies rule at the time

Basically every single subreddit we ever made would get a second version with a "no tankies" rule. We were stalked across the whole site until reddit bans forced us onto different alts and they lost track of us.

No idea if it was feds or just some very very online natoanarchists.
