Gotta spend every evening getting outraged at whatever made up shit Fox News shits out then proceed to embarrass yourself trying to own the libs
Still reeling from the time someone called me a food snob for making fun of that asshole who melted American cheese onto a $200 tomahawk steak.
This shit is making my inner chef have several heart attacks
I’m reeling at the guy who had 4 lbs of just straight beef on his plate saying that was what he was going to eat for dinner
I can't fucking fathom eating that much beef
Like, I eat a ribeye on my birthday, prepared au poivre with a nice little salad and some potatoes, and that's pretty much it for my red meat for a year
Eating more than eight times over that (and probably cooked to shit anyway), I can feel my guts dying
Like they really, honestly think that we get mad because they're eating beef
I'm not even mad, I just don't want people committing suicide by beef
Not to mention four pounds straight of anything is going to be fucking obnoxious. I love me a good potato and lentil curry but if you plunked down four pounds of that and told me to eat up I'd go mad.
Good lord. 1/4 lb burger is enough to bind me to the couch for an hour.
Holy shit. I cooked up about 350g of minced beef the other day, and I ate nothin but beef sandwiches for about 3 days. How the fuck that man has managed to have 5 times that amount in one meal is baffling.
I didn't know what a tomahawk steak was until I saw this comment and googled it, and now I'm irrationally angry about anyone paying that much for that little.
It's already a fucking gimmick meal for foodies with more money than sense
THEN THEY MELTED CHEESE ON IT AND WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
THEY MELTED CHEESE ON IT
Those slices are probably not cheese lmao. I'm not kidding:
By the FDA's standards, Kraft isn't permitted to refer to Singles as "cheese" because this word indicates that a product is made with at least 51 percent real cheese. This is why the label reads "pasteurized prepared cheese product." (In reference to why Kraft Singles American Cheese product can't be called cheese)
So they actually melted something shittier than just regular cheese onto it
I'm out of the loop, can somebody explain wtf American Conservatives are obsessing over now?
The USDA changed their nutrition guidelines saying that it is now recommended to eat at most 4 lbs of red meat a year to stay healthy, so now Fox News and other right wing media is taking it and saying that Biden is trying to stop people from eating meat and is going to them into soyboys. So in response chuds are consuming as much red meat as they can and posting about it to “own the libs”
It’s a very sad and hilarious chain of events
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that but it was climate change scares. Like the university of Michigan or something put out a study that said Americans could only meet Biden’s emissions target if they are 4 lbs of beef a year so Fox News distorted that into “Biden is going to mandate that you only eat 4lbs of beef a year”
Damn. I'm an unhealthy fucker. Had about 350g of lean beef mince this week and then a big beef Sunday Roast. That's like a quarter of the way through that allowance already. No wonder me ol gramps had a double bypass at the grand age of 45 lol.
4 Ibs a year? that 1.4 kilos right? If so red meat is worse than I thought.
Also what's with American Conservatives obsession with meat and soy anyways? Like how did it become such an "issue".
There's a conspiracy that soy literally turns you into a woman. Da JOOOOOZ are behind it to destroy the white race, duh.
Globalist is pretty much a dogwhistle for Jew from what I gather.
Red meat increases the chance of heart disease by three times iirc. Heart disease also turns out to be the leading killer in pretty much every developed nation go figure
Mostly fragile masculinity and endless consumption being intertwined in white suburbs
The amount of people in my life who unironically believe this makes me sad.
lol my brother has literally hit me with the "ill eat 3 animals for every animal a vegan doesn't eat!" line
Oh a fellow Maddox enjoyer. Thanks for reminding me about my early 2000s online reading habits.
The secret of meat is that if you apply heat to it and don't burn it, it's probably going to taste good. It's literally the first cooked food humans ate, and just heating it does the trick. You can apply fancy techniques and make it better, but cooking meat is as simple as it gets.
Someone did a good post about this I 100% believe now
the 'Biden wants us to only eat four pounds of beef a year' thing was a guerrilla marketing campaign by the national cattleman's beef association to drive a spike in outrage-fueled demand to deal with short-term excess supply of stored beef due to covid related processing delays.

it ain't stupid if it works. i just saw a post and there was like 8 people tweeting all the meat they just bought to own the libs.
fuck conservatives, but tbh saying "fucking libs; it's a marinade" to that tweet is pure gold. if i was on bird site, i'd do it.
The amount of men that don't know how to cook is actually baffling. Remembering when I went on summer holiday with the bros after finishing high school and they planned to live off two minute noodles/microwaved ramen, potato chips, and protein shakes, with the occasional steak on the grill. I was the only one that cooked and brought actual food, by the end of the holiday everyone wanted me to cook for them or teach them how to cook something lol.
Always weirds me out when people can't cook at all. It's not that hard and it makes pretty much every single day of your life better.
Probably raised in a family where the women did the inside house chores including cooking and the men did the outside.
My in-laws are like that. FIL at 62 doesn’t lift a finger when we come over for dinner and considers reheating in the microwave cooking. MIL is stuck doing all the cleaning and cooking, poorly at that.
I feel like we can weaponize this: self induced heart attacks for conservative carnivores just sounds like a good thing for the planet :thinkin-lenin:
