I would literally crawl through broken glass and swim through a river of alcohol to vote for a baked potato to kick Trump out of office. I genuinely believe a baked potato would do less damage than the current occupant. So who the fuck cares why people are voting for Biden as long as they do?

I like Biden. He'll be like the first breath of fresh air after being locked in a cave with a rotting corpse for 3 years. But I'm not voting for the breath of fresh air, I just want to get out of the damn cave. I wouldn't give a shit who the nominee was at this point.

The main reason I like Biden is he doesn't scare off the voters we need. We'll have that fight once Trump is out and we aren't in danger of losing Democracy while at the same time enabling the pandemic to rack up a million lives lost due to the anti-science bullshit coming from the Trump admin. We need to survive first, before we bicker about the nuances of our present leadership.

I bet you that if you post this to a liberal sub, you'll get upvoted with a bunch of people agreeing. parody is dead.

Anti trump hysteria is annoying to me because too often people act like he's the first awful president we've had in a long time. 90% of the ways that Trump is awful, so was Obama. I like chapo because people often see that here. Anti trump rhetoric usually just comes across as you watch too much lib news and have trouble thinking for yourself.

That’s what I’m worried about. We’ve seen the lengths the right will go to seize control. We know how perfect their propaganda machine is. Trump emboldens the right. Biden puts liberals back to sleep and puts their guard down. It’s lose-lose but at least one candidate acknowledges climate change is real, I guess.

A year ago we could all laugh at anti-vaxxers for being the most ignorant people in the world. Now 1 in 4 Americans will refuse a COVID vaccine once available. The modern left is terrible at propagandizing. The right can turn half their voters onto anti vaccine nonsense in 6 months. That is insane. A well oiled machine like that is nigh unstoppable. Everyday I get a little closer to black pilling.

Thank you for the suicide fuel. Capitalism has been around for less than 1% of human history and it’s already started a mass extinction event. Liberalism is completely unequipped to deal with this and clearly has no plan to fix it or even just slow it down in any meaningful capacity.

I'm voting for Biden because we need to protect DEMOCRACY! An institution which has never been challenged or dismantled in the entire history of the United States before Trump.

"The latest COVID-19 situation is found to be under control and the Ministry of Health and other agencies are still making efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19," Dr Noor Hisham said.

At least they have it contained-

Dr Noor Hisham said the 16 imported cases were from Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Yemen, Lebanon, the United Kingdom and Japan.

      welp

Okay, after reading some of the comments, the good news is that the posted article seems irresponsibly sensationalist and borderline misleading. if you read this piece about the mutation https://medium.com/microbial-instincts/what-the-d614g-mutation-means-for-covid-19-spread-fatality-treatment-and-vaccine-7dda1c066f0d , it sounds like we are probably worse off but really only a little bit compared to where we were before (lol)

Ah good to know, I tend to try not to overestimate covid news since so much is already downplayed for the sake of the global economy, but I should remember to maintain some skepticism anyway

The G614 variant is more infectious in laboratory settings; whether it means increased viral spread in humans is unconfirmed. Current evidence says that the G614 variant is not any deadlier than D614. And so, treatment options should not be any more different. Both the D614 and G614 variants should react similarly to vaccines, studies suggest, as the mutation does not change the immunogenic part of the spike protein; that is, the receptor-binding domain (RBD).

So at least there's some hope
