Young people often lack the emotional maturity, experience, and appreciation for nuance and complexity that allows more mature people to see the value in choosing the lesser of evils. Young people are attracted to the idea of acting on principles. It makes them feel good.

FUCK these people and FUCK all these shitty brainwashed Dems. Soulless freaks the lot of em

There's literally bombs being dropped on Gazan youth; would the Gazan youth recommend Arab Americans also vote for Biden? If not, is it because acting on principle would make them feel good?

This is like that comic page someone uploaded where a (mouse) parent sees their kid crying over the dead in a bombed hospital and he dismisses it by saying it had radical Islam, and when the kid is still sad about it the parents are confused and claim that that generation weird.

Nuance! Complexity! The reasons why Joe has been baying for Palestinian blood for decades are nuanced. The reasons why we have to support the extermination of an entire people and there are no alternatives are complicated! You just need to be mature enough to see that exterminating 2 million people and bulldozing their graves is the lesser evil!

What do you even do with people like this?

The dullards repeating ‘golly, it’s sooooo complicated’ almost(?) never talk about the history of Palestine, like the Balfour Declaration, the Ha’avara agreement, Palestinian antifascism, Operation Dalet, 1967, the ‘Yom Kippur’ war, Hamas’s creation… anything of substance, basically.

I’ve had to examine complex situations before, and I can tell you with a great deal of confidence that the situation in Palestine right now really isn’t that complicated. I mean, can anybody seriously argue that nobody has any business judging an F‐35 dropping bombs on Arab children unless you have a PhD in Middle East studies? Come on, that would be ridiculous.

That comment embodies the essence of modern liberalism:

      • condescendingly gesturing at "nuance" and "complexity" to hand-wave any criticism ("you just don't get it!")

      • infantilizing the critic by suggesting that having empty principles that you don't act on is a sign of maturity rather than weakness and moral inferiority

      • pretending that their betters are actually just doing things to feel good about themselves, which is also an example of projection since liberals goddamn love performative useless bullshit that makes them feel like they've done something

It doesn't matter how old I get, they never stop saying this shit, they just shuffle the words around to make them "age appropriate."

The people who say this are always spineless and unprincipled. Their cravens who desperately cling to the status quo because they can't bear discomfort and only care to reap the benefits of their undeserved privilege.

if you are an old socialist: You're just a crazy relic of a bygone past

if you are a poor socialist: You're just jealous and lazy and want revenge on your betters

Voting is public transportation. You're getting on the bus that goes as close to your destinations as possible. That's it.

LMAO. When you're so wedded to the status quo that you can't even imagine public transportation being something other than a grudging necessity.

If Trump is so dire and Americans elect him because some Americans had the temerity to stand against genocide the USA deserves another round of Trump. If some rich awful piece of wannabe mafioso shit like Trump can boondoggle institutions and get elected despite his litany of sins the USA deserves fucking Trump. If this wretched diseased ship of empire can't find a better port in a fascist storm well I can't give another explanation except we fucking had it coming.

Seriously if liberals are so goddamn concerned maybe they should do literally anything to not loose the easiest election of a lifetime for the second time in 10 years.

Maybe they should run somebody that 70% of democrats dont say they don't want to vote for, who tells people they aren't going to do what they want, and apparently that's your fault if you don't support rhe guy who says you won't do what you want and isn't going to change that.

Why is it always on voters, almost exclusively progressives, to.vote for shitty candidates that tell them to fuck off and never on candidates to not be terrible and unelectable.

wałesa is scum and archetype of class traitor and lumpenprole. He was absolutely worst president, yet he said that implying it as a praise for himeself. Also Poland totally deserved him (so he was right, just not like he thought), and even learned a little from that, too bad it was too late and by then the only alternative were succdems which then proceeded to do what succdems do best, neoliberalism and political selfdestruction.

We (the minority of non-fascists in the imperial core) can throw ourselves into the cogs of the machine to try and stop it from murdering more. That's all. Hope that our friends in the imperial periphery can continue to force the empire back from their shores while we do our best to damage and confuse it internally.

Fun game is to go into the comments and click on the most vile ones, then check the post histories.

Found one posting about luxury whiskey in between borderline slurs directed at gazans, can you imagine? This is what the imperial core turns human beings into, just vile, soulless husks completely devoid of empathy or compassion, shambling about the earth in search of boutique goods and scolding anyone who objects to this pointlessly cruel bloodletting. No amount of bombing could ever dehumanize Gaza as thoroughly as access to American prosperity has dehumanized these people.
