Russia has an overwhelming advantage in men and materiel. The question is when Ukraine folds, not if. Unnecessary prolonging of the conflict by fanning an insurgency, involving handing out weapons to Neo-Nazi groups and giving them practical experience in terror operations, is not in the benefit of Russia or Ukraine's people.

You reason as if every war is just a basic number game with who has the most soldiers. I do not know what american newspapers write but where I live no one expects Ukrainia to win the war. The difference is made if Russia will occupy the country or leave after consollidating the sepetarist regions.

Feeding your own people into the meat grinder out of spite for Russia will probably not endear Putin to a peace that leaves Russian troops outside of Ukraine.

I feel like everyone came to the conclusion that Russian troops will not leave Ukrainia after they invaded the country in 2014 and now again

Russia is going to win a military victory, it is just a question of time. Dragging out the inevitable is just going to get more people killed.

This war was completely avoidable. Had NATO accepted Ukrainian neutrality and had the Ukraine treated it's Russian minority well and followed the Minsk agreements, thousands of people wouldn't have had to die. Was it wrong of Russia to enter the war officially? Sure, but great powers are not moral actors and NATO knew what they were doing when they refused to negotiate.

Yep, Zelensky won because of the Russian minority vote, so he have a mandate. But instead, he keep letting the region getting shell, the American said that the region shelling themselves, like what? Why the fuck the shelling their own kindergarten for 8 years at that, truly stupid.

Not American, it's more that I want to see a minimum loss of life and quick end to the war, and right now Russia has overwhelming military superiority, and any actions to try declare total war by giving civilians and prisoners guns will just postpone the inevitable.

Also seeing the way Ukraine has treated black citizens of my country, not allowing them to leave, is making me sick.

I understand that as well, not wanting to lose your autonomy. Especially given the history. But I don't see a way to win at the moment, the geography of Ukraine prevents a prolonged insurgency against Russia. Insurgencies are horrible situations as well for most people. And without external assistance (which can't happen because that's a massive step towards WW3), it just seems like losing lives to delay whatever may come. Unfortunately it seems the fate of the Ukrainian people is out of their hands, which is obviously very sad. Maybe one day they can choose their own government without NATO or Russian influence, or at least minimal influence, but that day is not today.

Putin and NATO are terrible, and I definitely do not support Russia invading.

I really appreciate your calmness and I feel like I might agree. I'm just hoping on a miracle for Ukrainia or atleast a succesfull defense which leads to Russia agreeing to only annexxing the seperatist regions.

Lmao, the bag already out since 2014, where one of the bloodiest day in Ukraine history, the peoples tried to counter protest the coup got snipe one by one and kill one by one by the neo Nazi, with John McCain there directing, where bunch shite bag keep shelling the separatist region years after years causing many civilians casualties, without implement minks agreement. When one of interviewer goes mask off on French interview, I wonder how truth is your statement. Probably just bunch of make up bullshite. They’re so brave, that the govt bar 18 to 60 from getting out of this shite, yea, nah dude

They fought against corrupt pro-russian regime. Unfortunately due to liberalism they decided to elect corrupt pro-west regime, and now they will retreat into corrupt nationalist regime. This are all shades of liberalism.

As for zelenskiy, I think he is gravelly mistaken, as western weapon freely distributed will mean ukraine will descend into criminal violence after russian retreat. However, if it is occupational war, distributing guns is correct for national liberation.

So we’ll see in the next 2 month which was correct interpretation of russian actions, I think afghanistan experience is still fresh in russian minds, so they’ll leave them as is - no military, and 3 billions in weapons freely floating, like chechnya in the 90s, only for eu.

Oh definetly don't interpret me as a fan of the Ukrainian Government. I feel though that Zelensky most of all was just a very un experienced person to become the head of the state there that had no way to do something against corruption.

I just mean this liberation of kiev is liberal point of view, they haven’t liberated shit, nothing changed for ukraine outside of losing crimea, gas deals, and getting easier eu immigration papers. Professional (it) workers loved it, the rest didn’t notice it, not really.

As for the putin brainworms, meh, it’s just speculation of all, because by all accounts his actions look irrational to everyone, inside and outside russia. It follows that all the consequences with sanctions were fairly obvious as well. So either putin/small circle around him have gone completely irrational, or there is a reason there (not denazification obviously), but demilitarization? Or creating a ticking time bomb I described, which seems much more inhumane than invasion itself, but seems logical as all reactions to invasion (outside of cb sanctions) with weapons flow, easier eu migration can be predicted

Yeah i can seriously not comprehend how some people here can see an appartment block get blown up by rocket missiles and then reason "but ukrainia has racist soldiers so I will not take a side in this conflict"
