Some guy on leftypol who probably came from 8kun or some other shithole on the offtopic board kept posting all this sadistic fucked up porn and it dawned on me once again that like a not insignificant amount of dudes watch that type of shit and enjoy it, and like I remember looking at the shit he posted and thinking: "damn if I was a woman I would be fucking terrified of men, some dudes would want to do this shit to me" but that's probably also because I know and understand what a lot of men are really like

Yeah... There is a not insignificant amount of straight men that don't actually like women. They just have their sense of self-worth tied into feeling entitled to own women (our bodies, our work, our children) rather than their attraction to, or interest in, women.

interest in women because they have been told that women not being interested in them makes them a loser.

Probably the reason they resent women so much is they think that women are denying them the right to self respect and self actualisation.

There is a ton of alt porn produced independently that is cool and does interesting things. Way too much mainstream porn is misogynistic and fucked up though, that's for sure.

Either way, porn at its best is a mixture of Olympic-tier fucking, professional wrestling, and sexy opera. It's not really supposed to reflect reality, you know?

maybe it's not for everyone but if you also think porn is gross try checking out some erotica. Not really much to feed bad about when it's all fake words and humans have loved it for literal millenia.

The most jarring thing about mostly only ever being around well-adjusted people is occasionally stumbling into a den of this kind of shit and realizing how fucking broken a lot of people are. As a man, why are men like this?

Effort reply while I'm on my lunch break:

As a man, why are men like this?

Because the first act of violence the patriarchy forces men to preform is against themselves. Above all, being a man is defined in terms of things you aren't, as opposed to things you are.

Example: You aren't weak, you aren't effeminate, you aren't submissive, and so on. But people are those things in different ways and at different times, at least in broad strokes.

So the first thing men have to do in order to be patriarchal, which they've been told is synonymous with successful, is to be violent towards themselves, to destroy bits and pieces of themselves.

That violence spills over into all other aspects of patriarchal violence. If you've internalized hating femininity to validate your own sense of worth as a man, then it becomes very difficult to love women or even tolerate anyone / anything that isn't strictly defined as "masculine".

Through conditioning men to be violent towards themselves, the patriarchy normalizes violence in general.

      Super sheltered existence maybe?

I mean even if we ignore non paid work, creative stuff like art, childcare and care in general (which we shouldn't) it has only ever been the upper classes where women didn't 'work' but I guess that's the dominant class so that tends to be what gets recorded.

Women were working alongside men in factories during the industrial revolution, hell one of the main reasons child labour laws were bought in in England was cos the moralising classes didn't like the idea of girls and boys going down mineshafts together.

I reckon 50% of their worldview comes from lazy, shallow entertainment stuff and the other 50% from their parents and online groups of ppl very like them.

Dating guys sucks sometimes as well. You'd think that gay/bi/pan men don't have the toxic masculinity brainworms, and while it's certainly less than the general population, some still do for sure. It's such a horrible mindset, poor women that have to deal with this.

My friend stopped taking the train to work because she kept getting harrassed by men. She doesn't go to parties much anymore as well because of the same reason. It's so fucked. So sad.

Men over here really are trash at times.

yeah, there are so many more Gaycels and men who think they deserve whatever is in their smooth little brains, even if they're dealing with other men...

      real toxic masculinity hours...

and I am not equating it to what women/femmes face, but the amount of sexual assaults that queer men face is wild.

There are ways to see if a person is interested without doing sexual harassment, Jesus Christ. A simple hello is a good start.

If you're at a party, you can't be upset if people want to talk to you. Has she always had social anxiety?

Though I had a milk tart/melktert where someone replaced the traditional cinnamon + optional nutmeg on top with pumpkin spice, and even put a little in the crust. That was not good lol.

Coconut milk is the most common substitute according to a vegan I know. And vegan butter or margarine for the crust.

                http://www.vegansa.com/recipe-vegan-melktert.php

That looks good to me, also no bake filling is another advantage of not using eggs in the custard. Still need to cook the filling though. Can use normal flour as well if you don't have any problems with gluten.
