This is in response to that cop pointing a gun at Aaron Bushnell and yelling at him to get on the ground as he self immolates. Its insane, americans are insane fascists

my toddler son entered the room, unable to breathe and grasping at his throat. as I am a highly trained American cop, my fear pushes me to deploy a tactical response. my first general order is to gain control of the situation. to immediate effect of the afformentioned duty, I unholstered my weapon, pointed it at him, and yelled at him to get on the ground.
my brain has been certified by the shooting board as "Good, Actually" and I have been cleared to return to my status as training officer.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE SIR
If the toddler was following the rules they would never have choked on anything. Clearly they were no angel.
You literally just said your toddler son was rushing you. You didn’t have a choice
HOW DOES SHOOTING A MAN WHOS LITERALLY SET HIMSELF ON FIRE MAKE THE FIRE LESS DANGEROUS YOU STUPID ASSHOLE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
This is legitimately driving me mad, Im so pissed off at the insanely fascist mind of the average liberal.
That's the kind of world they want to live in, but they don't want the citizens to have the guns.
Cop who panics during public speaking and points gun at the audience
GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND RIGHT NOW! DON'T MOVE! HANDS ON YOUR HEAD!
Its like the bit in Disco Elysium if you fail the Authority check and you start crying and screaming at nothing. Except its real life and these guys constantly kill people because of it.
I just downloaded the game but haven't been able to play it yet.
Everything I hear about it, including this, is great. Haha
Its reputation is well earned. Its easily one of the best video games Ive ever played.
The Ukraine flags are kind of convenient at this point. Whenever I see one in a person's profile I know I'm about to hear something monstrous and lacking in empathy, so it doesn't come as so much of a surprise.
But you’re supposed to feel empathy when a member of the Azov Battalion dies
No, you're supposed to make a performative display of empathy, not actually feel anything.
They must be grade a actors then with how emotional they get over that shit
Nazi losers getting themselves killed in unwinnable offensives is heroism, dying as a protest against genocide is a result of mental illness
They have a stronger fear reaction than empathy reaction, and their response to fear is deadly force.
Notice that little attempt to insinuate that he rushed at the pig. Fucking disgusting freak shit.
When dealing with liberals, never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to both malice and stupidity.
Haven't seen it either, but...
No investigation, no right to speak.
No, fuck it.
Ukraine/Israel flag emoji, no right to speak.
Demons, husks, vampires, draugr, jotunn, djinn, zombies, ghouls. None of them compare to liberals.
"I havent seen it either but (horrificly cruel nonsense)"
Every day liberals enlighten me more on why the Soviet Union used the term "Citizen" rather than "Comrade" as an insult.
It wasn't an insult, but a default official address term for non-communists.
I did see the video and the pig in question keeps pointing his gun at Bushnell after he has collapsed on the ground and others are putting him out with fire extinguishers.
So it's like... there's kind of something here? That probably was the first time that cop had ever seen someone on fire, and when we find ourselves face to face with completely new experiences, we tend to fall back on instinct or training. And the training that the cop fell back on was drawing his weapon and threatening the man who was on fire, so that tells you a little bit about cops (that we knew already). I also wouldn't be surprised if that cop needs therapy after seeing that shit up close and in person.
Hopefully he needs therapy and hopefully that therapy will lead him to finding a new line of work
Perhaps he's wondering why you'd shoot a man who set himself on fire!? [BANE]
Gregory's second comment is correct. When you panic, you default to your training. It's the whole reason you train in the first place. This dude short-circuited and ended up on the default "draw gun and yell get on the ground" loop.
Thats the least problematic comment in the thread, yeah, but thats still horrific. That American police are trained to default to pulling out their weapon is an insane fucking thing
Oh, sorry, I meant that it was the only correct comment. The rest are insane and not worth engaging with. That's my fault for poor wording.
