I know quite a few of you are very pacifist. All I really have to say to that is :joker-troll: . Can't wait to watch :amerikkka: .
mostly liked the name of this weather site, but the 10-day forecast graph is easily the most useful format of weather forecast I've very used https://www.wunderground.com/
I'm not sure if he's a comrade, but the founder of the site, Jeff Masters, has been a guest on Democracy Now.
"The attack in Buffalo actually has a measured impact on this Roe decision and how people will will react to it," he told Axios. "You see that people are willing to engage in the most violent acts in furtherance of that ideology."
:jesse-wtf:
Is there some connection with the Buffalo shooter and SCotUS draft decision? I've not heard anything about that yet.
They're just pre-emptively justifying crackdowns on the left.
The shooter's manifesto doesn't even mention abortion once. Not even in the context of preserving white babies.
He called himself a “national socialist” and claimed to be “center-left”. Literal r/PCM brain
"reproductive rights is when a nazi shoots 13 black people for no reason" - the DHS
me: :what-the-hell:
"the broad coalition of liberals, social democrats, socialists, communists, and anarchists all saying that roe v wade should be protected are actually nazis who love to shoot black people" - the DHS
me: :what-the-hell:
Alito and the Buffalo shooter both advocate Great Replacement theory
You know, I have a crazy thought, but hear me out.
Maybe, just MAYBE, if you make a ruling stripping away ordinary people's rights and it is so incredibly unpopular you know it will result in mass unrest and violence, you shouldn't have made the ruling?
Just a silly idea
Libs crying about how we all have to respect the process as we're lined up in front of a ditch
Isn't there a quote from some Nazi official about how liberals will still be respecting the process and setting up committee meetings while there are literal putschists marching through the halls?
The big picture: Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.
:sicko-wholesome:
But, but, but: "The mere advocacy of political or social positions, political activism, use of strong rhetoric, or generalized philosophic embrace of violent tactics does not constitute domestic violent extremism or illegal activity and is constitutionally protected."
:sicko-yes:
I'm not saying the US supreme court should be burned, I'm just saying I have a constitutional right to say so
Absolute classic. I still can't fucking believe that Trevor is gone.
If we all start fedposting now then they'll never find the needle in the haystack.
See that one time in the George Floyd protests when the feds complained about not getting any useful information about organizers, because everyone was too busy arguing over stupid shit and canceling each other.
The mere existence of trots should be sufficient evidence that left orgs don't need any help self sabotaging.
There's no room for pacifism when people are actively losing their rights
Stripping people of their rights is an act of violence. Anything we do in response is self defence.
I've been saying this for months, even before the ruling. The economy is on the brink, COVID isn't over, and now this court decision. The progressive petty bourgeoisie will be mobilizing for the elections like they did in 2020 and this will spur people into the streets for demonstrations.
Make sure your orgs have security and medic teams, you have basic first aid stuff, you're practicing good infosec, and you have escape and jail plans in place when going to a protest.
From a larger perspective though, get organized and be prepared to agitate. Have flyers, speakers, and if you can drag people out who you wouldn't normally ask to.
I hadn't thought about jail plans. Any good tips on that or a direction with info to point me in?
Write the NLG phone number on your arm. Don't bring your phone or, if you have to, make sure that it's locked with a password instead of biometrics and never unlock it when in custody for any reason. Check with local orgs and see if they're running jail support.
Also if you menstrate, no tampons or menstrual cups for protests. During the George Floyd protests pigs ziptie arrested people and left them like that for hours.
No contacts either incase you get pepper sprayed
Oh I thought you meant more like, prepare for how it’s going to be in jail and how it’ll affect your week type thing. Like trying to mitigate its effect on work or something
Someone should know you're going to protest, tell then there's a chance you'll get arrested and if you do they need to cover for you/message your boss or take care of pets
If you write your phone number on your arm make sure it isn't too too visible, if chuds see it in a video they'll zoom in and harass the person, making it impossible to get a hold of them if you do get arrested
Edit: sorry thats only for if its like a friends number
Don't write anything except the NLG number, and make sure it's somewhere that's covered by clothing.
Get some lawyers in your org or at least have your org in contact with some sympathetic lawyers. Organize a bail fund.
People who are legally vulnerable in your org (non-citizens, prior criminal history, already on bail etc) should be encouraged to avoid protests where arrests are more likely
But guys, I thought the ruling wasn't final and that it was totally possible for not 1, but 2 chud judges to have a change of heart before then! :shocked-pikachu:
It is possible for their heart to change in such a way that it affects their ruling, yes.
It's possible that some justices might strategically flip after enough riots. I'm pretty sure Derek Chauvin would never be arrested, let alone convicted, if that didn't happen.
They're completely insulated from consequence by design. They're not going to flip. They were hand picked for this mission.
You know, when the leak first came out I thought it could have been fake. Then I saw responses from John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, and others and there is no way it was fake, based on the response.
I'm already seeing libs on TikTok telling people to peacefully protest and :vote:
Another time to issue a prescient warning: be very careful what you post on social media about protests, regarding specific political figures (judges, presidents, senators, etc). If you even make a joke involving violence or implying anything untoward, be prepared to get a call from someone in a federal agency. They can and will hassle you, harass you/your family and even put you in hot water with your employer. Take a note from the IRA manuals: Loose talks costs lives!
Between the lines: The Roe decision is flypaper for extremists.
:very-intelligent: Both Sides Aktuly :very-intelligent:
"Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to 'save white children' and 'fight white genocide,'" the memo also says.
Yeah when I think of white supremacists I think of reproductive rights
