I've already seen :smurf-cursed: give in to his Trump derangement and start singing praise for DeSantis and I fully expect the rest of the libs to follow suit

I'll admit it would be pretty funny if DeSantis steals the election by rigging it in Florida in a repeat of 2000 but without even having to use his brother like :no-oil: did because he's still govenor himself

there is zero chance they let themselves have a primary, his corpse is running. They will hold his skull up at the debates if they have to.

I mean, the joke is that he probably is the strongest candidate the Dems could field right now.

Liberals know him and like him. Moderates aren't afraid of him. Conservatives just sound crazy when they complain about him. He's the picture of 90s era normalcy.

Imagine he has a stroke. Imagine the clown they end up rolling out to go against Trump. Imagine Pete Buttigieg on a stage with Donald Trump, pursing his lips and looking at the moderator. Imagine Kamala Harris getting deeply burned and then cackling for literally no reason. Imagine hearing Donald Trump shout Pocahontas over and over to thunderous applause.

Do you really think Trump is going to take the nomination in '24?

I just don't think the GOP is going to let him. Not this time. They'll all have the long knives out, and all he'll be able to do is shout about how unfair everyone is being.

They're not going to let him, but he's not going to let them not let him.

He will run third party. his own party! His own perfect, beautiful party without the LOSERS!

I don't doubt that Trump could throw a wrench in the GOP field during a general election run. But I get the sense that - at best - he'd function as a Perot-style challenger. Someone to soak up protest votes in states where the winner is pre-ordained, like California or Florida or Texas or New York.

But without a permanent national presence via round-the-clock news coverage and endless high profile Twitter comments, I just don't think he's going to have the juice going into the next election cycle.

He won't actually have to do it, because he is the only one on the Republican side who would dare do it.

Why do Democrats need a strong 2024 ticket? What happens if they have a strong ticket? What happens if they win?

Also are we really going to pretend anyone but Lev Parnas watchers and FBI text truthers care about classified documents?

I'm all for anything that will result in Biden attempting to win over minority votes. Basically, I want more Popcorn/"they touched the hair on my legs" stories.

Biden 2032. Biden 2036. Biden 2040. We're stuck with him now. He's not going anywhere. This is your fate, America. To the very end.

i would have agreed last spring/summer but after the midterms i disagree (with the title not reading the article). i think brandon is the Normal president and normal people like that. as long as they keep him on whatever brain pills they have him on now and continue to not let him off his leash he would probably win again. after the NFT stunt I feel ready to say that trump is looking pretty washed, his heart is just not in it like it was in '16 and most people don't want to hear him whine about the last election for the rest of time. DeSantis is purely reactive, unable to steer the conservative currents nearly as well as trump was, instead he is only able to jump on the latest bandwagon; plus, his voice and affect are generally unpleasant and his fan base is made up of the worst people in America. of course this far out only sickos and losers are thinking about the 2024 election so it is hard to really gauge but really it seems like dems will win in 24 unless shit gets an order of magnitude worse or brandon dies and they decide to run human chatbot Kamala.

NGL I'm looking forward to watching the republicans utterly tear themselves apart in the mid terms :sicko-biker: I hope our big wet boy stays true to his word and runs a third party ticket if he doesn't get the nomination.

I'm also watching from Canada so it's extra :meow-popcorn: for me.

kick who out? i find it unlikely that de santis wins especially if trump runs third party if he doesnt get the republican ballot.

We knew he was going to run again since he got elected. Nothing but death is going to change that. It also doesnt really matter which democrat is president, they would all do the same thing. The only difference worth debating right now is whether a 2nd Trump presidency would be better than a Desantis presidency
