    sean "oh no" lennon

impressive how a 48 year old man can sound 16. guess when your dad was one of the most famous people on the planet, you don't have to put much effort into, well, anything.

Considering his dad was the most famous person on earth for takes you'd expect from a 16 year old who just took their first bong rip, but more hypocritical it makes sense.

Okay but your dad was a deadbeat who left his other children to make unhinged BS with your mom. Hippies are bad people pretending to be good and Mark David Chapman did us a favor.

"Teach us how to think for ourselves"

"Here's a laundry list of ways that this right-wing outlet is lying to you and trying to get you to blame minorities for the bad aspects of your life caused by capitalism, here's how every other society has done the same thing for the last 2000 years"

    "WOKE!! WOKE!! WOKE!!"

I'd say the wrong Lennon was shot, but a better way of phrasing it would be that not enough Lennons were shot.

Of all the celebrities boomers are obsessed with, musicians are pretty high on my list of boomer idols to loathe. Just below their failchildren.

Telling people they're perfect and good and they don't need anyone to tell them what to do, or how to think or feel. They're imbued with all of that! They're already right.

"I was actually anti-woke before it was popular."

Anti-wokism has reached it's hipster stage. It's finally on it's decline.

It used to be called Political Correctness. I assume that's what he's referring to. He's basically admitting he's been a bigoted asshole for decades lol

How are people like "How does this have thousands of likes???" when we know there's just a shitload of bots on Twitter?

I would imagine he's inherited quite a lot... 15K likes is about $50, but who knows they probably boost these freaks with Musk at the helm.

His other son apparently didn’t receive much lol

After his death it was revealed that he had left Julian very little in his will.

"Politically correct" was, afaik, the GOP stealing a concept from academia and then misusing it in bad faith. They just lobbed it at everyone who was opposed to torturemurdering black children. Same thing with "bleeding heart", Woke, Critical race theory, and I'm sure many others I have forgotten due to the brain abraiding side effects of AMerican politics.

AFAIK it was a sardonic left-punching thing left-libs were doing to begin with, like a bunch of socdems and trots chortling about things not being "politically correct" to mock MLs and maoists. I can only imagine it as the 80s equivalent of redditors going "I'm as left as they come and I'll get *starts giggling* banned for this, but China bad tinyman square 1984 -700 social credit! *bursts out laughing*" and then being upvoted by CIA bots and given awards.

Pretty much all right-winger complaints about "this generation" have been complaints about ideas that have existed (and been complained about) for many decades, if not centuries or even millenia. PC culture, cancel culture, feminism, homosexuality, trans people, you can name a behaviour as old as humanity and they'll still claim it's a radical new agenda.

I'm fairly sure the "war on Christmas" will be a headline again in 5-10 years.

The only solution is to launch an enveloping counter attack and decisively defeat the forces of Christmas on the battlefield. After that we will have the strategic initiative.

Isn't it a headline every year for the last 20 years now? Lmao they still whine about it on FOX I'm pretty sure

Political correctness fad is one way to describe a society briefly not tolerating outright bigotry.

Fortunately for bigots most people get burnt out on trying to not be bigots for more than about 5 minutes so it ebbs and flows.
