One thing I'm tired of hearing from liberal apologists is "We don't know how she'll govern" or retreating to "well the Walz pick says a lot." Her and Walz have said they're going to support Isreal. And now she's saying this which 100% aligns with her business friendly record. We know exactly what she's going to do.

every dem politician has to meet their progressiveness quota somehow. she's getting hers by being a black woman, which frees up points for her to dump into fascism

People will then often sorta handwaved it away. Like oh they don't mean that. Which of course makes Kamala a liar much like the dang Cheeto.

Which is it liberals? Is she a ghoul who wants to do genocide and support big business or is she a liar politician who speaks no truth? She must be one based on her own words

But she might raise the tax rate on corporations by .5% (while giving them a ton of concessions like weakening the FTC and SEC)

Going to start telling liberals I'm a single issue voter but in regards to the post office. They get my vote only after they shitcan DeJoy and fund it properly. We all know this will never happen, so I'm safely allowed to not vote for Democrats for the foreseeable future.

all to try to maintain the trump-moist regime

Congress has been inching towards postal privatization for a while. Bush put the insane rules for bankrolling retirement benefits fifty years in advance into effect in order to back door defund them. Reagan capped the rate at which they could raise postal rates to prevent competition with UPS or FedEx. I'm sure Nixon did some shit, too.

It's been an office under siege for decades.

Already started putting my clown make up on as Walz bumbled his way through the politics of joy pablum at the debate.

I guess Bidenomics isn't the new party orthodoxy, but was in part Biden's personal concessions to "the Left" --explains why Bernie and AOC went to bat for him, even as he turned into the living dead in real time.

Thanks for the DeJoy memories. I've got a lot of mileage out of him. Could not imagine a better example of how both major parties are on the same team.

The thing is that a lot of libs would probably support privatization of the postal system. I’ve heard them respond to its privatization with “oh. Well that’s not a problem because Amazon can easily do everything they do”

Lol I heard this from Upstate New York liberals. The type who act like cosmopolitan New Yorkers while living in their gated cul-de-sacs.

I feel dumb for ever thinking she might be better than Biden in at least 1 or 2 ways, at least beyond being not obviously senile.

To be fully transparent, the next paragraph says her team disputes that characterization.

But I remember similar articles before Obamacare was passed talking about how the admin had started assuring private insurance that there would be no public option in the final bill.

And lo and behold, we know what happened there.
