At least the Republicans are considerate to ensure their deaths are hilarious (thoughts to that one chucklefuck who propped up a Trump flag on a Florida pier during a hurricane just a while ago, don't think he died tho).

A grenade launcher is an NFA item, if you pay enough money, file enough paperwork and wait long enough you can legally own one (unless the state has laws against it, which some do). I think from memory if you want to fire explosive ammunition (rather than flares or buckshot) those also need NFA paperwork and time.

I remember on r/guns some people would show off their "4-stamp" guns meaning it had a silencer, short barrel, select fire switch and grenade launcher, all 4 things aside from their costs, requiring a 250 dollar tax stamp each and months of waiting. Basically showing off how rich they were because of the tens of thousands of dollars involved.

Or you buy one on the black market that was stolen from a military base in the USA or Mexico I guess.

MAGAts are like soccer hooligans: they'll riot if their team loses... or if their team wins.

yea some nutjobs will do some shit probably, but it will be pretty isolated. Most Americans still arent at the "im ready to die" point. Even the ones who talk a big game.

Yeah, RevLeft summed it up like that. These suburban fascists like to cosplay rebels, but deep down they know they're in a cozy spot.

And a lot of the Jan 6 chuds really, really thought they'd get away with it. They had two very strongly held beliefs:

          • If we're holding Thin Blue Line flags and screaming the word constitution, the state wouldn't touch us!
          • If we really, truly believe, in our heart of hearts, that we're covered by a legal exception to do crimes, the state can't touch us!

The test for many legal exceptions is whether a "reasonable person" would believe such-and-such. But conservatives really think that if they strongly profess a belief, that's just as good. It's why they started calling all their opponents pedophiles. The actual concept doesn't even cross their mind, to them it's just a word that means "can be murdered"
