LOL, the simulation has cars passing through other cars and pedestrians, it's pretty easy to move "21,600 people per hour" when you enable the "no clip" command.
Oh totally forgot the best part, this simulation also requires that every individual is 100% competent all the time, so that no accident would ever arise from that tesla powered meat grinder.
Lol, I knew it, I was too lazy to lookup numbers for traditional mass transit solutions but had a feeling it was still inefficient compared to good old rail.
Subway lines serve up to 80k people per hour. And that is handicap accessible and gives people more than 2 seconds to get on and off.
And they also don't require you to walk over the subway rail while it's in operation.
And this is like 21k best case scenario.
No chance in hell they even come close to that. If they manage 10k I will be shocked. My bet is closer to 5k.
isnt this just the pickup/dropoff area that already exists at every fucking airport
what are you solving with this
The City of Las Vegas did not previously buy as many Teslas. The City of Las Vegas will now buy more Teslas.
He could just fucking make tesla brand trains.
You know what's cool and cyberpunk looking, Elon? Fucking mag-levs jesus
A train isn't as disposable, and thus, as re-purchaseable, as a car. Nor does it act as an advertisement to affluent industry and business conference-goers to buy a Tesla as their personal vehicle or fleet vehicles.
Checkmate, commie
Oh I didn't know they used maglev in the hyperloop. So he's going 95% of the way to train and then veering into complete fucking bullshit at the end I guess
don't criticise the simulation showing pedestrians getting hit by the teslas. that aspect is true to life
The simulation actually shows the Teslas' clipping/hitting the pedestrians.
MUSKY, THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN.
Even better for American Policy™ is the fact that poor people can very easily get literally hurt this way. 🔴⚪🔵🦅🔫🍔
Holy shit imagine the traffic jams and fender benders with this fucking thing.
Like they've managed to create a system wherein what would normally be a minor accident would become a multi-car and pedestrian pile up lmao
This would be actual hell
Little known, but when you enter America the customs agent tells you "welcome to America, we will never build another train".
Love that like 10 pedestrians are killed during that simulation :agony-turbo:
I like how at 0:23 the car at the bottom left unloads maybe 15 people. Same with the car in front of it at 0:26. Makes it real easy to hit your goal numbers when you literally can ignore the maximum capacity of the car.
Ok now hear me out:
What if we made it so that cars can drive on the train tracks?
This genius new innovation will solve all our transport issues for sure!
If anyone wants to see how shit this thing will be, Well There's Your Problem did an episode about it.
Death to the cult of the automobile. :luau:
12pax AEV arriving every 6 seconds at a station with 5mph speed and 40s average dwell time
🤓
Like how the guy mutes the thread because he's being bodied by replies of "just make trains" - but claims it's because people are nitpicking and overlooking the proof of concept throughput numbers he pulled out of the fairy realm
