This guy sucks ass so much

"“How is the money that we invest now going to help us best to get jobs back and get people employed? And I can’t tell you that sending another check out is gonna do that to a person that’s already got a check,” Manchin added"

    He's an idiot too

And I can’t tell you that sending another check out is gonna do that to a person that’s already got a check,”

Actually please do tell me because I don't even understand what the implication is. Is it "they will be confused"? or "they will get used to getting checks"?

No you see a check is like a stove or a car, a normal person really has no use for two.

Yeah but if they boot him his seat would absolutely go to a Republican, so it wouldn't even matter

In that case, twist his arm behind the scenes, cut his fund raising support, threaten to primary him, hell, tell him you'll build a statue of him. Do some fucking politics

How unpredictable, I bet that both Schumer and Biden are completely shocked and surprised by this, no way they could have known this before asking voters to give them complete control of US government

As much of a chump as this guy obviously is, they'd find another shithead to play his role so they didn't have to cash out.

This probably doesn’t kill the 2K checks btw.

Manchin always does this when legislation will probably pass anyway so that it looks like he votes across the aisle. This likely means a republican or two are on board and will flip and vote yes on 2K

Yeah, Trump was pulling for $2000 checks, we should get at least a few yes votes from the Trump wing of the Republican Party.

Yep we're going to go from "We will pass checks immediately" to several months of this kind of shit. They're going to bungle the one thing that happened under Trump and 2022 will be a bloodbath. People in the comments hoping at least one or two Republicans will step in. I have a feeling they're going to rally and stop bipartisan efforts though. It's in their interests to gum up the Democrat machine now they're the minority. Suddenly the bipartisan support for checks will evaporate and the confused conservatives who think they're Democrats will refuse to support it. Then it dies and now the Biden admin must sell that outcome. The media will jump behind it. All the people demanding Drumpf give relief will turn into people who think relief isn't needed. It's going to be a shit show.

Yeah he might. I guess it mainly depends on how many of the Republican senators are actually feeling pressure from the riot. It would be an easy PR thing for a few of them to support it and get it passed. Then they can say they're being bipartisan and trying to move on from a era of division and hatred. But at the same time, strategically, they have to go back to Obama mode. With the Senate being so close and Dems needing at least one or two Senators to get stuff done, that means Republicans hold some power. If they operate as a group, with one or two superficially playing the bipartisan, then Republicans can have a lot of say. And the conservative members of the Dem party will more readily work with and be on the side of Republicans than their own party. So it's like winning GA barely counted for something because the right wing people already in the party canceled it out. Now we're still having to rely on a few good Republicans to help do stuff. McConnell will be able to use that.

So on the one hand we might get $1400 checks just to put this Capitol Hill stuff behind us. On the other, we might not get anything for months or a year. Or at all. It depends on how the Dems can sell this as actually being a good thing. And how willing they are to play chicken with progressives in the party and leftists on the streets. I'm just going to be doomer about it until $2000 is in my bank account.

More like kick him out of the fucking earth. Someone should "do something" about Manchin, sooner rather than later.
