This is a bit of a dumb question but while I hear the phrase "Eat the rich" getting tossed around a lot, is there anyone here that is actually 100% serious in the idea of "Given the opportunity, I will literally grill and devour Elon Musk's calf"

Using a throwaway because I don't want to be the guy associated with starting the cannibalism struggle session

no, i'm vegan by the way

    Compost them instead.

unjerk/ Take all their money and put the billionaires to doing work no one wants to do if we can, no good reason to pass up a source of labor when you've got perfectly good ex-billionaires right there. Bezos can plant trees or work on the wind farm assembly line or clean sewers, idk.

Not particularly. Climate change has begun to deal moderate damage to the earth and is projected to deal significantly more in the decades to come, but at the moment Earth is still quite habitable and you have access to many non-billionaire food sources

I wouldn't eat them but it would be cool to make a bong out of Bezos's skull.

    Unironic comment:

'Eat the rich' is mostly good as a slogan because libs can't use it. Any political statement made by the left that can be watered down, will be. Politicians will try to co-opt it in a way that makes it purely performative. They did it with 'Defund the Police', they did it with BLM, but they can't do it with ACAB or 'Eat the Rich'.

Killing a billionaire literally won't do anything, all that money is gonna get sent to one or two failsons & faildaughters who will then take their place. 'Eat the rich' is good for letting off steam and reaffirming who the enemy is. It's a rallying cry that excludes libs.

      they did it with BLM

how so? wasn't BLM always "Black Lives Matter"?

Yes, but originally BLM had a series of important demands that would improve the lives of black folks in the US. Once the Democrat leadership was 'supporting' them it was by doing shit like kneeling while wearing traditional African clothes, rather than arguing for better police oversight or more resources for African-American communities. Essentially, 'BLM - the grassroots movement' and 'BLM - the DC edition' have very little in common apart from the name, and because of that, the DC version is drowning out the actual complaints and demands made by black people. For obvious reasons, it's not possible for centrist democrats to do the same with ACAB.

This is what I mean by terms being co-opted or not.

You know, if I were at the BBQ and some was offered me a bite, I might consider it. The thing is that cannibalism enables prion diseases, so probably not. It's an easy way to get owned while you're winning.

      prion diseases

Such a terrifying pathogen, with a name that sounds like a Honda model.

So not in favor of cannibalism, but kuru, the prison disease most commonly endemic to humans, is/was pretty much only found in the Fore, an indigenous population in Papua New Guinea. It broke out there because ritual funerary cannibalism enabled a prion likely from a random mutation to spread through the population. You won't get a prion disease if you don't consume the prion. The prion causing Kuru, like that of BSE, is mostly present in the nervous tissue of affected animals. This is one reason Kuru mostly affected women and children, who traditionally consumed the brains of the deceased.

Long story short, you can prolly eat capitalists' brains and the only thing you'll catch is the vile, parasitic brainstorms that cause them to seek infinite accumulation. But maybe don't eat an Englishman, they had a rough bout of BSE.

There isnt any evidence the Sentinalese are cannibals, and they've buried all of the invaders they killed.

I would give it a try if I got the chance, but basing your diet around the rich would probably be unhealthy. Diseases, mercury, and such.

Since everyone is doing a bit: No, cannibalism isn't the goal. Eat The Rich means to seize and redistribute their wealth, and seize the means of production from them. Then they're just regular people like everyone else.

I feel like that's an easily transmissible vector for an STD, and generally just an unsafe cut of meat. I support the idea of eating Elon Musk but I'm not going to intentionally give myself Kuru from eating his brains

It's probably fine if it's fully cooked, or ground up with other cuts and then fully cooked, but once all of the blood is out it's basically just a shriveled little skin-raisin. I bet if you threw it in a deep fryer it would puff up like a pork rind, though.

That’s fair. Aren’t testicles a delicacy in some cuisines?

Also, I’m curious how vegans feel about this.

          Cow/sheep/goat testicles? Yes

Human testicles? I don't know of any cultures that consider human testicles to be a delicacy but there might be like... 2 cultures somewhere that do

Yeah I didn’t mean human. Lol but I think they’d be generally safe if cooked properly.
