You hate to see it.

One user linked an article about how AOC is a SV survivor and that's why she's having difficulty recounting the trauma she went through in the Capitol attack, after Hasan joked about how long it was taking her and how much she was stalling.

Then, instead of either scrolling past it or just apologizing and accepting that it probably does make it harder to recount the story, he bans the user and begins yelling about wokescolds on the left and how he hates those members of his audience.

Turned off the stream after about ten minutes of him continuing to yell about it.

I've tried watching his stream but he's so fucking annoying. He gets super bent out of shape when one of the like 60K people watching his stream says something that even mildly disagrees with him, then he throws a fit and acts like it's just so fucking hard to sit in his chair watching YouTube because the people making him absurdly rich for doing nothing have opinions. I have no idea why he's so popular.

The internet, and especially content creators is not a good vector for fostering empathy or compassion in an already compassionless society created by capitalism.

the likelihood that a woman is a sexual assault survivor is practically 100%, i dont know why anyone would chose to be that kind of shitty

Well, the corollary is that a huge number of men must be perpetrators

That's not how that works bud

I wouldn't have replied if you just said "that implies" but you used corollary, a we'll defined logical concept. Misusing words just to rhetorically bolster your argument puts in a worse position.

A corollary is literally just a logical result that follows directly as a result of something being true.

As someone who cares a whole lot about logic in my day to day as a mathematician, you’re just being a pedantic debate bro that doesn’t even have the slightest clue about logic in the first place.

On top of that he wasn’t “making an argument” nor “bolstering it rhetorically” you loon.

What percentage of Hasan's fame would you say is from him being model level good looking?

You'd have to balance it with the percentage that comes from being gifted a job at a major media corp due to nepotism.

And then goes on to talk about how he's self made and Cenk was lucky to pick him up.

You missed the stream then, because he's literally said "Cenk was lucky to give me a job right out of college" when defending how he could have worked anywhere.

It was probably a few weeks ago that he said that one. He does concede that he is privileged to have a famous uncle and that got him his start, but never enough to admit that the reason he has his status on Twitch is because of that.

He puts in a shit ton of time and spends half his life streaming, but there are thousands of people who do. The only traction he got was from his relation to a well connected person in political media.

He's Cenk Uygur's nephew and got a job and a show on TYT right out of college.

TYT > "america deserved 9/11" > Fox and other major outlets covering it primetime because he's on TYT > huge numbers on Twitch after being unbanned.

I didn't catch the beginning this but that reaction is insanely fucked up. What I did see was him going on and on and on about it (didn't exactly mention what it was) and yelling about woke "leftists" (whoever those are).

Just had to add, dude needs dialectics with how much he tries to contrast republicans and democrats

i'm prob using dialectics incorrectly here but Hasan often talks about the 2 parties like they're the opposite of each other. they're not, they're just different flavors of capitalist. there's no duality there, and it's way too simplistic to allude to one side being good and another being bad.

Except this wasn't anyone wokescolding, it was a normal good community member sending him a link to inform him that AOC is a SV survivor and that joking about her taking time to tell a story is a thing to avoid because it's probably rooted in her trauma.

Then he flipped out on that person and permabanned them.

We started work on filtering options so this doesn't have to happen in the future. I think it will not take long for us to implement it. If you are really having trouble with it give yourself a break. ♥️
