Lol I just did my taxes and I made 49.9k last year in an incredibly high cost of living area. Barely sneaked that one in.
It's a stimulus check this is supposed to be a ticket to boosting economic activity. My wife and I were having this exact discussion. If we don't make the cut off, we'll continue stashing money under the "mattress"; but if we get a stimulus check, we got so many new purchases for the new home that we'll immediately go spend it, like it's burning a hole in our pocket. That's what they want do they not? Economic activity? Fucking idiots.
Scene: an anthropomorphic donkey wearing a wrinkled blue suit sits in a dirty room, rocking back and forth and scratching at his arm.
"C'mon man, just a little, just a little, c'mon" mutters the donkey. He looks up as an elephant, wearing a long trenchcoat and carrying a briefcase, enters the room.
"Jesus, you look like shit" says the elephant, staring down at the disheveled figure in front of him.
"Yeah whatever man, just give it to me, I need it real bad" says the donkey, a note of desperation creeping into his voice.
The elephant hesitates, then says, "hey listen, we've known each other for a while now, I don't usually do this but, maybe you should take a break? I mean you've got both chambers and the white house; do you really need to keep using this stuff?"
"You don't fucking know me asshole," shouts the Donkey. "Are you gonna give me this shit or not?"
The elephant sighs and shakes his head. He opens up the briefcase, pulling out a gigantic syringe with the word LOSING printed on the side. The donkey turns around and bends over, and the elephant jams the needle into the donkey's ass, pushing the plunger down until the syringe is empty.
The donkey immediately collapses onto the filthy floor, shivering with ecstacy. The elephant closes his briefcase and walks out of the room, sparing a glance over his shoulder as he leaves.
