Bernie's grovelling is so pathetic. Wish I knew earlier.
i dont remember cucknie panders being pathetic in 2016? it feels 10x worse this time.
You gotta respect people like Lenin and Stalin who did what they needed to do.
I feel like this is probably one of the many reasons why electoralism is a bad strategy for bringing about socialism, dealing with loneliness is difficult for a lot of people and it's gotta be hard to stick to your principles when all of your colleagues are capitalist ghouls and they're inviting you out for lunch and treating you like a friend. The culture of congress probably pulls a lot of people to the right this way.
Ain't that the truth. I never really *got * electoralism (even before I became a marxist) but the way you wrote it out is so clear why now.
single handedly threw away the biggest opportunity that history had presented to the Left in the US for almost a century.
It marked the 100 year anniversary of Eugene Debs's final presidential campaign from prison.
That said, we can't succumb to great man theory. The reason Bernie did as well as he did is because something with material roots is brewing in this country. Likewise, the reason he failed was that we didn't have the leverage necessary to overpower the ruling class. No amount of blame or excuses will change that. It was incredibly depressing to watch Bernie fold, but the lesson is that we must grow stronger, more robust, more numerous, and more militant.
Its a combination of personal development on my part and the fact that the 2016 primary was very unexpected IMO. But in 2020 taking a stance of anything less then a scorched-earth policy against the Dems is absurd. He was (is?) trying to play nice with a bunch of snakes and back-stabbers.
Black people ain’t havin no Bernie, but for real this time, given the photo
I started typing up a rebuttal and then just stopped. The truth hurts.
Young Bernie wasn't a lib, I don't think the switch happened until after he entered federal politics.
Bernie = Benny Trump = Caesar Biden+Copmala = President Kimball + General Oliver Elon = House Who’s Yes Man?
Well, yeah
I guess I'm just astounded that they're trying to be so brazen about it
damn I read that as "Kamala's father further left than Bernie, Warren" and went "well yeah dude's a marxist professor isn't he"
They really have no respect for anyone's ability to think critically. I can't say I totally blame them either.
Something something a hero something something the villain.
You either die a comrade, or you live long enough to see yourself become a lib.
You either die a comrade, or you
live long enough to see yourself becomecontinue being a lib.
I love watching them condemn Bernie for voting for the bill harder than they condemn Biden for writing it
I recognize Biden and Copmala but who are the other guys?
The person they’re dragging is a young Bernie danders protesting during the civil rights movement. Meanwhile old Bernie sanders is pulling him too, representing old bernie’s willingness to go along with the system.
Oh, oops. Went over my head, wasn’t paying close enough attention to the pic and tweet I guess haha
Never heard of him. Perhaps you meant popular fantasy author Brandon Sanderson?
what's sad about it. didn't you lib already said 10 time you abandonned electoralism when berni droped out? it was to be expected from a lelectoralist
