No landlord only collects enough to cover mortgage/monthly expenses. The truly irresponsible person here is the slacker landlord that doesn't keep enough profits to cover their losses. Sounds like a personal problem to me

“I take on the risk in this situation! I deserve to be compensated”

      risks don’t pay off

“This isn’t fair! How am I supposed to continue shuffling other people’s money around now?”

"N-no! I took a big risk starting this business! You can't just take it from me! That's not fair!" :porky-scared:

I put myself into debt and rely on other people to pay it off for me so I can retire, but those irresponsible cretins don't have an emergency fund.

Why aren't you a responsible member of society and just have a year's worth of rent saved, that's very realistic.

Just don't be poor ffs I don't get why people can't just make like 3 times as much money as they do.

He should just have a year of mortgage payments saved up, that slacker. Also it isn't his properties, it is the banks and the bank has obviously a right to get the money from the landlord. The landlord though has no right to get the stimulus checks from the renters.

landlords love to pretend other people's houses are an investment just like anything else and then whine when it behaves like one

nobody is bailing you out because your stocks didn't pay dividends this month

To be fair, mortgage payments should be cancelled too.

      They were....

They actually suspended mortgages longer than evictions. This loser is just mad he can't capitalize on that and make pure profit for a while.

I still have to make mortgage payments

Imagine a world in which petite bourgeoise landlords throw in with their tenants and tell the mortgage company to piss off.

Genuinely curious how that would play out. "Listen, this is my mortgage. I'd like to just stop paying it, but then the Sheriff's going to come and try to repo the property. How do you all feel about arming up and telling that Sheriff to get fucked?"

Imagine a world in which petite bourgeoise landlords throw in with their tenants and tell the mortgage company to piss off.

If landlords had solidarity with tenants they would not be landlords. Like in this scenario the landlords are no longer getting passive income with no labor right? What's in it for them?

I mean, if you're collecting rent...

We've just got layers of landlordism now. Everyone can be someone else's landlord. So we're all... uh... in it together? Except when it's time to eat shit, at which point there's a hierarchy again.

Like in this scenario the landlords are no longer getting passive income with no labor right?

Sure they are. They're still landlords and they still want to get paid. They just don't want to pay their mortgage notes.

23 of 22 tenants, one bringing a friend, should form a red guard and give this poor landlord a fair trial.
