        Iran also, DPRK and China as well even though neither of those two are that specifically hostile, people will still tell trans people that support the DPRK that "you would be killed there" with no evidence provided. It's also used as a justification for blocking and deporting refugees from the wests perpetual war with the middle east.

        Edit: Cuba also has its past constantly brought up by anticommunists, hell communism/marxism-leninism as a whole is demonized as inherently bigoted by anticommunists who reduce historical and cultural factors to merely being all universally ideological.

          Anti communists will ‘miraculously’ have the brain power to recognize and ‘care’ about the mistakes past communist projects have had with gay people, but simultaneously not have the brain power to recognize that the west/USA was/still is also at the forefront of the oppression of gay people
