that's not a stutter thing I don't think? is it?
he just very smoothly read word for word what was on the teleprompter.
I’ve tried to remember a few times, I remember it was something like “ooooh lookout everybody this mf is using /s on r/cth”
For some reason this reminded me of part of it: "please treat this dumbfuck's sarcasm to an appropriate response"
Yeah mocking tone indicators probably isn't the vibe we want on this site
Oh no I was agreeing with you that the bot was dumb and rude cause /s and other tone indicators are good and helpful, especially for neurodivergent folks
We need to bring that one back. The volcel police automod too.
Something about the picture of the car that said “Cumming police” or something like that with the motion waves was hilarious to me
I guess I should say, the bot itself was fine, the way people would invoke it was annoying as shit
god forbid someone doesn't get a joke because it isn't labelled "joke"
harassing people isn't allowed here nor on the old sub. why should making less funny posts be expected over, you know, having a culture of people not being dicks cause they didn't get something.
in conclusion /s bad and this site is good :)
Pretty much all the bots on the old sub were annoying. And all reddit bots. Except n word bot.
People who were raiding the server after stalking a comrade from some other sub always got mad when the bot finds the n word
This is the first I'm hearing of the /s tag having utility for accessibility.
Seems like a really good point, consider me a convert to the Sarc Mark Crew.
Thinking about it, yeah... That tracks. I think I must have internalized a sort of humor-chauvinism that I hadn't really examined before. Somehow, 'making a joke more recognizable to readers,' just didn't feel related to accessibility until now.
Seems absurd in hindsight, so I'm glad you brought it up.
How many times do people send you Foucaults. And is your username a prison?
I get a Foucault from time to time. Probably gotten five or six
And yes, everything is a prison, obviously
:foucault-shining:
I made these emojis btw, very proud of them
I had another Foucault one, but we haven't had an emoji drop in ages
Trump's presidency was like putting a necktie on a sweaty capuchin and making it do president stuff. You could never guess what was gonna happen but it was so off the wall and so confidently done that even when it was the dumbest, most nonsensical shit it was so outlandish and so intentional that it was always funny.
Biden's whole campaign and now presidency is just elder abuse, he's a sundowning racist who's very publicly succumbing to dementia, which is just pathetic and sad no matter what
Felix's prediction that Biden would be funnier than (or as funny) Trump is aging badly
We can be the change we want to see in the world, time for a GoFundMe to bribe the teleprompter guy
Lmaoooooo ok lady I'm sure you'll get a promotion if you stand there and compliment the emperor's new clothes loudly enough
Damage control and harm reduction rapidly converging to a black hole
I’ll be honest that’s way less embarrassing. At least she’s getting paid to make a fool out of herself.
I wish libs could see this and feel something when I say I told them so.
My lib parents are super embarrassed by Biden (though my dad is convinced that the J6 hearings will finally GET Trump lol) so they aren't immune.
folks,, my cadaver synod was the biggest, absolutely the biggest— the biggest and best synod anyone's ever seen.
YES!! if we are just going to get further breakdown and dysfunction, at least we could get each party holding dueling Cadaver Synods for the deceased Biden and Trump
My brain is broken enough by the internet that every time I see, read, or hear about what "Biden's done today" a short video clip plays in my head of one of the liberal breadtuby types saying "Harm reduction."
I voted Green Party (lol) but I did think at the time Biden would be a very marginal improvement, but voting Trump was unironically harm reduction. Biden has been far worse than Trump both in actual policy and in the “hearts and minds” battle.
Trump got the libs angry and energized and on our side. Biden makes the libs either fall asleep or lash out at us for recognizing their emperor has no clothes, while also somehow managing to make the chuds froth at the mouth even more than before even though he’s literally giving them more of what Trump promised than Trump did!
I was kinda thinking the same about a first term Biden administration, no progress, but at least holding the line where it was when he took office. I was unhappily surprised (though I know I shouldn't be) when he just straight up did all the Trump/Republican things the libs where squealing about for eight years.
It’s been shocking. I was never under any illusion that Biden wasn’t evil, but the libs had convinced me that he wasn’t as bad as Trump, and he was at least making platitudes towards good things vs Trump’s bombastic denunciation of anything good.
Nope, turns out Biden is actually to the right of Trump, or he is literally a vegetable and the people around him have totally dropped the ball. With a further inspection of his history, I’m going with option one.
This should've been the funniest shit, but I don't know I think the mood around this presidency just make it feels :what-the-hell:.
I hope he runs again, I'd love to see Biden still stumbling through speeches in 2027
God, if he's not dead by then I almost don't wanna see the state he'll be in.
The inflection of his voice when he says “repeat the line” has me dead. He thinks he’s killing it and drizzling that Ol’ Biden Charm on it.
The gaslighting about "HE HAS A STUTTER" is so frustrating, because you can clearly see when he stutters. It's pretty obvious. Yes, dude has a stutter. Aside from some jerks no one was complaining about that.
Seriously, we know what a stutter is. I’ve seen Biden stutter and that’s fine who cares. This shit is not a stutter this is age related cognitive decline.
I wish we just let old people be old and out of governance. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think age discredits one’s ability to govern effectively, but i do think there is a difference between the wisdom of elders and whatever necromatic spell that allows these geezers to stay in positions of power well past their prime
Joe should just be taking care of his son (whom should be in jail were he treated like the rest of us) or being a grandpa or something. Working on old cars or gardening.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t think age discredits one’s ability to govern effectively
:I-was-saying:
I honestly don’t think people over the age of 55 should be allowed in any policy making seat, and over 65 you shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Honestly I’d be for allowing 16 year olds to vote, and weighing votes by age, so after 30 your vote becomes worth less because the decisions made will affect you for less time.
An 18 year olds opinion on climate change should matter more than a 40 year olds, and a 70 year old should shut the fuck up entirely.
the weighing votes based on age would be a pain in the ass to calculate tbh
65 is a decent cut off, but I’d go for 69 because funny number
ehh 45
You should see how the opinions turn to absolute shit once you hit 45
Joe Biden wouldn't want to do any of that, he wants to have as much clout as possible, he's sick in that way. His political career is older than the Star Wars IP. He ran for Senate before he was old enough to serve as Senator, and unlike most people who understand that the governments just a dog and pony show you do before serving on boards and lobbying, Joe Biden needs to be in the room, it needs to be him. He's got the ego and narcissism of a madman.
How someone could be in office for that long without amassing a substantial fortune is just incredible to me, especially when you've got the credit card industry's collective hand up your ass for decades.
It is pretty easy to be broke when your son blows a year's worth of bribe money in a month on coke and ket
Love how he leans in after because he can't read what is written there.
