Like beans squash rice. Do I need to eat complete proteins with every meal or is it not really necessary?
afaik there's no such thing as magical protein combining. you can get all essential amino acids from a lot of stuff. the magic of rice and beans is probably a myth. beans are good. white rice has pretty much no protein in it so you don't need that as a protein source. eating a varied diet is good, don't eat one thing exclusively.
Not as important as some people make it out to be. Honestly, the line of argument feels like a way for vibe-based healthnuts to 'invalidate' veganism, similarly to those who want to vilify gluten.
That's not to say bad protein composition can't cause problems. But as long as you're getting a decent dose of each amino acid on a weekly basis, you're good. Really, you're probably only going to hit problems if you're one of those people who do stuff like eat nothing but chips and vegan nuggies for every meal. But a moderately diverse diet should reach it no problem, as is true of a lot of deficiencies. Total protein intake is more of a problem for a vegan diet, even if it is pretty easily met with some attentiveness.
Just eat soy. Whenever you go to eat something, ask yourself "is this soy?" If not, don't eat it.
Seriously? I keep having this idea that my soy meats are my bad-but-better-than-nothing protein. Legumes are instead my "good" protein.
I say this as someone who has not read up at all lol
I mean, soy is a legume. Processed fake meats have sodium, added oils, and reduced fiber, so if you're concerned about your nutrition then whole-soy food is preferable.
But no, don't only eat soy.
You need to eat complete protein on average, but not every meal or even every day. If you eat a variety of foods then you can probably only care about protein macros
"Complete protein" is a bit of myth. Wheat has all the amino acids you need, the problem is that some aren't in the correct ratio and end up as a limiting factor. You can solve this by simply getting more protein than needed, or just making sure you combine protein sources in aggregate, not necessarily being anal about getting a mix in every meal.
Sorry this really isn't true at all. You need all the essential amino acids in your diet (regardless of your activity level) but you don't need all of them in every meal.
Just eat a variety of foods to obtain proteins and if you feel you need a boost then there is nutritional yeast as well as stuff like amino based sauces (Brag liquid aminos is a good one).
