People have been asking what separates humans from animals since ancient times, and I have finally come up with the answer: humans are bipedal. Ah, I hear you ask, what about kangaroos and pangolins and the like? They are all humans.
It's wild to me that American colleges are like entire cities unto themselves. Like, there's campus clinics, police, dorms of course, sports, clubs, everything in just one institution. That just seems questionable to me.
Apropos of nothing, but mainly just because this is one rare corner of the world where someone else might care: I recently found a tiny facet of software engineering research where a dude is referencing Baudrillard and using materialist thinking as a means to write better quality software.
Such a shame that this will undoubtedly work really well and result in new manmade horrors beyond comprehension.

i've been trying to chase down a rabies vaccine for half a week because a bat got in my apartment. the walgreen's told me that it was a public health hazard for them to give me a vaccine. the new insurance company never sent me anything so i didn't know any of my information until today. the urgent care place was just...out of rabies vaccines. so i had to go across town to the hospital to wait 4 more hours to get 5 shots as the "emergency triage" for a non-encounter i had with a bat last week. shit sucks. health care in this country is such a fucking boondoggle. shoutout to all the actual workers i saw, they were all lovely, it's the system that makes the experience of receiving medical care shitty.
I hate to smol bean post, but I'm cleaning the disastrous nest of my room finally and good golly gosh is it exhausting. I've done like three loads of laundry and filled several bags of shit to be donated or just garbage I was hanging onto. I'm only like halfway done with just the stuff that needs to get done to hopefully set up a better clothes and dresser system and it's taken all day.
Been listening to the new ep of The Upstream with Breht O'Shea from RevLeft because my partner listens to it. Fucking props to absolute boy Breht for just opening up the tank gun on these libs blasting away at propaganda about Mao and Stalin.
