When are all the goods made by American prisoners going to be declared as made by "forced labor"?

love the fact that more republicans voted against this than dems. it was probably like dan crenshaw voting against because it wasn't declaring war on china, and rand paul protest voting because it violated the NAP, but still, it's hilarious

Tbf, more Dems did a no show, which is a cowardly way of doing the same thing. And there are more Dems.

But yeah, the future is revanchist nationalism against Russia and China no matter which party you pick.

yeahh lol. I'm considering moving to canada, for a little less overt nationalism and warmongering. I kinda get the lib mindset, I would love to just not think about this shit ever.

yeah but it's a lot easier for me to fight with libs, because most of them recognize my basic humanity as a trans person and don't literally say we should invade china. I'm not going to vote for them, or support their views, but there is a point to be made that they're easier to deal with.

              true

and don’t literally say we should invade china.

well they instead say we should do everything but. I don't think most libs would actually support a ground war

For some reason the concept of a siege has just left the collective consciousness of the West. Sieges are one of the most brutal forms of warfare. Literally starving a population into submission or rebellion.

Sanctions and all "economic warfare" is siege warfare on a nation state scale. The US doesn't have vessels in every body of water for the hell of it.

Some country please create a "rebuttable presumption" that assumes that all goods manufactured in the United States are made with forced labor and therefore banned (unless proven otherwise).

American foreign policy is just devouring Nazi propaganda like children starved by their sanctions then asking for seconds.

I thought Zenz says China is transporting Uyghurs to other provinces? Even if Zenz's delusions were true, wouldn't this just incentivize China to do more of that? Seems like a pretty big loophole.

wow so they can also sanction parts of a country, didn't consider this possibility. now i'm concerned that this will be the new strategy to squeeze china without doing a full embargo (because that's impossible as literally everything is produced in china). and yeah, biden is gonna fully continue this shit, as expected.

kinda hilarious though that seperatists in xinjang are already getting a dose of the US freedom sanctions and they aren't even an independent country yet.

Meanwhile we have prison slavery literally enshrined in our constitution.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Instead of catching slaves in Africa, we catch them in our own back yard, bang a gavel, and poof.

Unbelievable hubris of the Americans to take offense to forced labor when their prisons account for a good chunk of their industry. We're allowed to have our little machine elves too!
