Stop living in the past; also, Israel needs to exist because of who lived there during antiquity.

Have your child become a dentist

wow, it sounds so easy! I'm sure all the other people can do this and compete for the same "big home on lots of land"

oh, you're just advocating for all-against-all and will completely ignore the people who starve to death trying? oh, okay

"Touch grass" is often similarly coded, too. There are large sections of Burgerland where touching the grass would be considered tresspassing, especially if you didn't buy something recently. smuglord

I always found it weird when Americans who live in a sparsely populated grid drive around for fun because it's the least fun drive you can imagine. Then I realized it's because you can't just hang out without paying an entrance fee somewhere lol.

No wonder the typical recording studio for chud broadcasting in contemporary media is the interior of a vehicle.

I don't think "touch grass" is that literal, is it? I'd been using it to mean like, log off and go interact with real people or read a book or go for a walk or something. Not like, a literal request to go outside and put your body in physical contact with a graminoid plant, but excluding sedges and rushes.

Sure, I assume it's usually meant that way. But even then it's still pretty damn presumptive when it's used, both in the "surely everyone I disagree with/dislike is a shut in" sense and also in the belief that everyone everywhere has something meaningful they can do outside at any given time regardless of where they live and what's actually out there to do. That also goes for posting at work and the freedom everyone has to just walk away from the desk and frolic in a field until they agree with the other person's takes.

I mean, yeah, not everyone can literally walk away, but I think ultimately the sentiment can basically be boiled down to "take a break and do something else for a while." I don't know that there's anyone for whom it's genuinely impossible to stop arguing online, and that they're genuinely unable to spend even a few minutes doing something other than posting.

I certainly can see that, though often in practice it instead comes out as "I don't like you. You must be too online. You should leave while I get to stay."

Kinda gross (and expected) to see libs turn into mask-off "Not Stolen; Conquered" ethnonationalists whenever they try to reduce this situation into a "war". Deep down they understand that nothing has fundamentally changed from the days when Imperialism was just taking off, but their solution is to just shrug their shoulders and act indifferent while trying to gaslight those who want better things.

This is also not that far off from the US where POC are functionally barred from owning 90% of the land in the country

many good deals out there, with the stipulation that you may get lynched by the local inhabitants

One of my friends and his wife bought a new house in the next town over. He got it for cheap. His neighbors are really friendly and his kids are enjoying school. What he did not realize is there's a large chapter of the KKK in said town obsessed with birth rates and other shit, so of course they're welcoming to a white family.

He genuinely didn't know and felt bad I didn't want to visit because...you know...I'm not white. Even though I can sometimes pass for white, the klansmen there are old-school anti-papist, anti-Irish/Mediterranean, and antisemites.

Basically I'd get lynched for having black hair lmao

If I was a pro-West psycho I'd be very scared of people like this giving up the game to non-Westerners. I've said before colonialism didn't end because of the non-existent goodness in colonial/imperialist countries, they ended because they were no longer feasible, that and the Soviets' active fight against capitalist/colonial hold in places like Africa (I can't believe I literally only learned recently that the Soviets and Cubans actually fought and supported resistance movements in Africa; it's almost like it was a secret or something).

At the drop of a hat imperialist countries can engage in atrocities in non-Western countries with barely any pushback from the average person in our own countries; where was the nationwide unrest over the overthrow of Gaddafi? And every time, liberals are no allies in these matters.

This is why I support places like North Korea getting nuclear weapons, and also Iran, and to the liberal idiots who watch these forums, you getting more upset over people saying this than the atrocities our countries commit against these countries is exactly why they should have these weapons; you'll be nowhere to be found when hundreds of thousands of people are slaughtered in the countries we invade but you invariably crawl out of the woodwork when people suggest rival countries have an obligation to have deterrent weaponry.

I'm increasingly convinced that it's not enough for countries around the world (non-Western countries) to have defensive weapons, they need offensive ones too; if Iraq had actually been developing WMDs, the fact is they wouldn't have been invaded.

where was the nationwide unrest over the overthrow of Gaddafi?

you mean when Gaddafi tried to do a 9-11 to America's sweetheart, Jim Halpert?

Americans, even so-called educated and engaged ones, pay zero attention to the what the US does elsewhere unless there's one or more big movies about it with at least a rising B-lister.

and even if they do read an article or two about it, it'll be some half-ass Project for a New American Century NatSec psycho authored one, distributed at face value.

Trust me, they already know. By and large the only people who actually swallow Pax Americana bullshit are those living in the imperial core and their compradors.

I hear some Palestinians became doctors, which seems like a step up from a dentist.

Sure would be a shame if someone was to blow up and destroy almost all hospitals and torturing you in order to extract false confessions to justify bombing more hospitals killing more patients and doctors whilst you’re desperately trying to keep the children they mutilated alive. Not to mention that these hypothetical people also have blown up every university around. But surely that wouldn’t happen to someone who is as high up as a doctor, the people who lost the war deserved it as they were simply bad/undeserving people who farmed dirt and couldn’t grasp the dizzying heights of worthiness that is being a dentist.
