If the tasers where more potent the potential criminal wouldn't have yanked, so the poor officer wouldn't have to shoot him 12 times. THAT'S IS THE COST OF NON LETHAL WEAPONS

That's kind of true. Tasers kind of suck and fail to reliably stop people. Those two cops who got shot in Tulsa last month couldn't stop the guy with their taser. There was a recent incident in Chicago where they tased a stabbing suspect who fell but got back up and grabbed the taser cop and started to stab her before the other cops could finally unjam their pistol or get a clear angle to shoot. I don't know what the solution is, it might be a fundamental design flaw, I guess where the tines hit the body makes a big difference. Seems like an ineffective device best used to torture uncooperative students in front of John Kerry, or black people with their hands up. There was a jaywalker in Oregon who got tased, grabbed the taser, then got shot. A black guy who cops found sleeping in a drive thru ended up grabbing a taser after getting tased and ran away with it, cops shot him in the back.

They do, but unless both tines are able to puncture both layers of clothing and your skin, you won't feel anything except maybe a slight shock of you grab the wires to pill then out.

I think the efficacy of the tazer is really a red herring to the problem, which is our country is socially and economically rotted out.

Absolutely. More body cams and better tasers aren't gonna fix police or all the systems around that.

They would perceive the sound of his body falling to the ground as a threat to them and shoot him while he was unconscious on the ground.

Out of all the dumb things Biden has said "we need to increase police budgets" has to be one of the most boneheaded and tone deaf ones in recent memory. Like, just, wtf?

I am at least glad they arrested the fucking pig who did it. Hoping this is a sign of police depts not covering for their employees for fear of unrest. Rioting works folks. Abolish the fucking police.

It's not enough, they now know that they need to not be straight-up-fuck-you brazen, instead just do the thing where in 3 years a jury gives the pig a slap in the hand and walks free.

      We need more riots.

I'm convinced this is why police departments deliberately screen out the smartest applicants. They want cops too thick to resist the "world is against you" training/propaganda, too thick to empathize with civilians or even consciously realize they're class traitors, and too thick or trigger-happy to tell the difference between an arrestee squirming while trying to submit and someone "resisting" arrest or trying to attack. They want to frighten us with attack dogs who can't be reasoned with.

Massive surveillance state, serf mentality, racism and the desire for an ethnostate (which, at this point fuck it, y’all can have Utah and are never allowed to leave. Good luck. We’ll be back in 20 years to find your bloated corses in a Chik fil a or some stupid shit).

You would need a mass of people willing to sacrifice themselves for it. There have been a few isolated retribution attacks like after Eric Garner was choked to death and a guy ambushed two cops sitting in their cruiser and shot them both dead before killing himself shortly after. Same a few weeks ago when a guy did basically the same thing and ran away, neither of the cops died in that one and they just identified him a few days ago from the security footage. Attacking cops comes with the knowledge that they're either going to kill you outright during the confrontation or they'll almost certainly be able to track you down and either kill you later or at least throw you in jail forever. Either way your life is going to be over, most people haven't been pushed to the point where they decide "Fuck it. My life is over anyway, might as well take a few pigs with me on the way out."

50K people commit suicide in the USA every year. i don't want comrades killing themselves, but i have thought if you could find a way to radicalize the suicidal you would really get some shit done.

Tell them, if your life is already forefeit, you might as well go out raging against the dying of the light and leaving a dent against capital instead of succumbing to despair.

ngl, being too lazy to plan some kind of last stand has probably kept me from self-harm more than anything else. i have been utterly miserable, but i have too many people i hate, people i have a vendetta against, who have done evil, who are doing evil, who will continue to do evil the rest of their careers if not one intervenes to stop them. can't waste such a precious opportunity to leave the world without dragging some of the evil with me. i guess it's really fucking dark, but clinging onto that got me through some really rough times. not too recently, i am all right now. but it's fragile, the dark is always just one piece of bad news away.

I'm not necessarily advising going out with guns literally blazing, Nat-Turner or John-Brown style. Not even in minecraft. Isolated acts of terror are generally not effective at winning working-class solidarity. Working to leave subtler dents and bruises against capital, or to build the forces that will eventually unleash proletarian wrath against the ruling class (in minecraft) may be a better use of your time.

The Black Panthers already tried something like this. They got utterly destroyed by FBI infiltration and their leaders were either killed or thrown in prison, and the MSM tricked white workers into thinking they were domestic terrorists. This won't work without a much more advanced and organized working class coalition backing them up.
