I think Biden is gonna win big and Trump is going to die after the election. Everyone expects hellword to be the worst or funniest, but I believe it will continue to be the weirdest.

This. Whoever wins, is the path of accelerationism (not really towards communism, mind you). No matter what, the empire is in irreversible decline, and conditions are going to continue to worsen.

I agree. What I am most afraid of is that the bourgeoisie has grown a class consciousness of its own, and understands its position as an aristocracy in decline. A class-conscious bourgeoisie is capable of acting collectively and forming a plan by which they might consolidate a type of state that enforces capitalist relations at gunpoint in perpetuity. Nazi Germany is the crystallization of such a condition.

Biden/Harris absolutely will accelerate us towards a fascist dictatorship. I see both of them laying the groundwork for our future fascist dictatorship. Both have a history of authoritarian policies and even before the George Floyd riots, Biden's team made it clear they were running on a Law and Order campaign.

I 100% expect them to reach across the aisle to the GOP and introduce some fucked up law in an act of bipartisanship to try and make protesting illegal, or filming of police officers illegal. It will be something aimed at the protests and meant to squash them by mass arrests and high incarceration. It will follow in line with the PATRIOT Act and NDAA (which was written by Obama).

Right now, liberalism is being overthrown and it's a question of what it will be replaced with. By liberalism, I mean the job of negotiating between the ruling class and the exploited (what liberalism's job is supposed to be).The GOP has already proven they are more than happy to replace it with fascism. Democrats right now are confused and don't know what to do. They lean towards fascism cause they see nothing else. All they have to offer anymore, and have offered for the past decade is empty platitudes and identity politics. We're reaching the point where neither of that works anymore.

Obama rounded up and sent in to exile two millions of people on the basis of their ethnic identity. We are already fascists and we're already really good at it. Nothing more needs to be added, the machine is already in operation.

            filming of police officers illegal

Doing this via laws is not the GOP playbook at the moment. They're stacking the courts with the "activist judges" that they accuse the Dems of, who will rule that cops taking/breaking cameras is covered by qualified immunity somehow.

The chuds love doing it via court cases because judges aren't really democratically removeable and explaining that it's now illegal to film cops because of a court cases that strengthens qualified immunity is so jargony that the average disengaged American's eyes glaze over even trying to understand what they they should be angry about.

Plus, it makes the Dems look like they're weakening existing cop "rights" to pass laws to undo this kind of shit.

its already illegal to film cops without telling them in certain states. due to wiretapping laws that are horribly bent to serve this purpose

              ·

As another commenter pointed out, they've already made it illegal to film cops without telling them in some states.

In my state in the deep rural south, they made "attacks on law enforcement" into a hate crime and it passed with 100% approval from both Republicans and Dems in my state.

Make no mistake about it; Biden and Harris will definitely push some WTF authoritarian law to give police more power and to appeal to the GOP. It will be an extension to the PATRIOT Act (which Biden had a hand in writing himself) and calls back to when Obama added to it with the NDAA.

Give Biden WI and AZ. Give Trump PA. Now you have a 269-269 tie, to be decided by the state delegations in the house. Republicans currently control more states. That’s max pain.

that'd be max pain but trump won't win PA without winning WI too, I'm trying to find the intersection of likelihood and pain

Theoretically you could have an electoral college tie and then a tie in the house too. The constitution says the house just has to keep voting until a president is chosen lol.

Trump somehow survives covid. Biden wins by a large margin. Trump publicly rejects the election result but doesn't do anything to actually stop the transfer of power. Trump plays the part of ousted resistance leader from the comfort of his new show on Fox. Right-wing violence accelerates, but president Harris ignores it and cracks down on left-wing protesters.

It's possible but you have to start trying to find ways Trump can win. Iowa, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina prob break for Biden. Texas and Florida are in play. It would be fucking hilarious if Biden lost, he deserves to lose. Biden has fucked up every single thing he's ever touched, him losing would fit right in with his previous electoral history. But somehow Trump is even more a dipshit moron.

Doesn't really matter though. The left is just as far away from national politics under Trump as under Biden. Biden will hurt fewer vulnerable comrades, so I do hope he wins, but I'm not voting for him. He's the lesser harm candidate, but he's still going to harm immigrants, the poor, minorities, ect. He's just a means tested Trump. He doesn't revel in the punishment, but deep down inside he does want to punish people. And libs want him to punish people, too. Libs only political instinct is Self flagellation but for every person. These psychos are all the Jimmy Carter speech in human form.

he'll continue all the same shit. most of the states where the national guard and police beat the shit out of protestors have blue governors. and biden will absolutely use the repressive arm of the state to retain control. deportations? Biden will increase them. prison sentences? have you seen his VP? lgbt people? hahahahahaha

Texas being in play is peak lib brain lmfao. It's a great litmus test to see if someone if trying to lie to you vs. do actualy speculation. No fucking way that Biden is favored in Iowa either.

Florida is also safe for Trump imo. The combo of rich boomers moving there and Biden's weakness with Hispanics (in general, not just the fabled Gusanos/Cubans) mean that it's not really in play.

NC is another place that libs salivate over because Obama won it once, but it is probably a toss-up.

AZ and MI almost certainly go for Biden.
