First Step: Communism and Socialism were never a DNC objective, and moving further right lost them this election. The Left does not have a home in the DNC, and needs to build their own structures and parties. PSL

Second Step: Sacrifice marginalized groups to the meat grinder.

Third Step: Hard to do if you blunder this badly on the general by moving rightward.

Fourth Step: This is just racism.

All in all a disastrous, very liberal plan.

This is literally the same Polish succdems did. Won a landslide, nearly constitutional majority in 2001 on still succdem but solidly left succdem platform and them proceed to realise nothing of it but tons of neoliberalism, possibly expecting to steal liberal voters and become a huge centre-left block. In reality, 8 years later they got completely ejected from sejm because they lost entire left even their traditional succdem voter block and did not got a single lib voter because they did had their own party.

And best of all, they learned nothing at all of it, they are still on it, 23 years later

The problem with having communism on the agenda: THEY DIDN'T HAVE A FUCKING AGENDA! MAYBE SOME KIND OF SHADOW CABAL AGENDA, BUT HARRIS DIDN'T HAVE A UNIQUE POLICY OR ANYTHING THAT ANYONE WITH A BRAIN COULD BE EXCITED ABOUT!

This has been the Dems MO since Reagan won in '84.

They only win because of backlash against the obviously horrible policies of Republicans, and I am predicting that (if America still has elections 4 years from now) that if the Dems keep moving right we will be in a constant back and forth of a disastrously bad Republican messing everything up, so any Dem can swoop in and win, but after the Democrats 4 years of maintaining the disastrous Republican Party, the collective memories of Americans will forget who put them in this bad situation to begin with and vote for a Republican.

Until the Democrats finally admit that there is not enough moderates in this country to maintain electoral power, and begin wooing the left in actually meaningful ways, will they have a chance at the regaining the power they had in the FDR era.

The left has nowhere to go but blue

This is your brain on vooting

What if the left just doesn't vote? Then what?

I thought the one thing Bernie's crowds should have made pretty clear is that there is a large contingent of people who care what's happening and want something enough to support it but this just got memory holed into "young people don't vote" and "the left needs to vote for Dems". Why would these people vote? Why wouldn't you acknowledge that you could gain some portion of the ~1/3rd of people eligible to vote who don't? Certainly seems more likely than flipping that portion of the opposing team.

How are you supposed to do that when you purged all the so-called 'commies'.
