The average TrueAnon listener is a social democrat, maybe democratic socialist

Don't blow it up by assuming she's a freak commie like us, sus it out slowly first

Start with a 32 minute rant about how Stalin was right and the history we’ve received was written “ex” information warfare officers who “switched” to being historians after WW2 and if she walks away you dodged a bullet.

Friendly reminder that the average TrueAnon listener is a social democrat

This isn't the impression I get from their subreddit

alternate pov: be as up front about your freaky politics as possible if you're trying to find a serious partner. you want someone who is at least okay with where you're at if not on the exact same page. i have a marx quote high up in my bio on hinge, better to get it outta the way early.

I agree, but there's a difference between getting it out of the way early on rather than ruining a fun casual date with complex depressing political talk

I have to say that I think I earn a lot of respect from people by stating that I am a communist and then explaining and defending my position with passion.

Being a communist is sexy too, so there's that.

Ask what her upper limit on locations is, and if it's okay if you bring a helicopter.

This will either bomb hilariously or be genuinely really funny and well received. There is zero in-between.

one of the things that these last few decades has taught me is that ostracized people are usually able to vibe with other ostracized people even though they have diametrically opposite world views.

i suppose that's one of the reasons why lemmy is now seeing an influx of social conservatives, in addition to helping amp up the liberal vs leftist culture war on lemmy.

Dropping the bit for a bit. I'm actually contemplating packing it in for romance. I'm in my 30s and really haven't a relationship that lasted much more than 6 months. I think I'm just kind of annoying dude to be in a relationship with (a good chunk of my relationships have ended after I went on vacation with my partners 😂). I think the oncoming political situation is just gonna make dating for a (mostly) hetro guy even worse and frankly I'm getting more and more comfortable being single anyway. I like sex, but whatever, I'll get a fleshlight I guess.

you have no idea how many conventionally annoying, freaky ass weird ass motherfuckers find happy relationships, i guarantee you're not as much of an oddity as you think. keep at it if it's something u want, comrade
