Is it safe to do a full body workout every other day? I only have limited days I can get to the gym, and latley instead of doing upperbody or lowerbody I just do full body strenth workouts.
I am trying to gain as much as I can without getting fat.
If I go every other day I will be at the gym 4-5 times a week, is that over training?
By observing the French Republican calendar, which has 10 days in a week, you can work out 5 times a week every other day
We sans-culottes have been deprived of the opportunity to show off our massive calves for far too long

Hai guys. Can you critique my new routine?
Sun: Legs Mon: Chest/Tris Tues: Back/bis Wed: Shoulders Thurs: Legs Fri: Chest/Tris Sat: Back/bis Sun: Shoulders
What I like about this routine is, that I get to work out 8 days each week. But, is this overtraining??
So the issue I see here is that you have listed 8 days.
In school I was taught about 7-day sequences, so I'm unable to process your list. Hope that helps!
You are not getting it, it's simple, just look at the calender and COUNT THE DAYS.
If you want to gain muscle/size I recommend the 5/3/1 boring but big program. I've been lifting for years and always come back to this.
Um if you go to the gym every other day, that’s actually 3.5 days a week.
Where did you get 4-5???
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. That is 4 days. Duh.
How do you goe 3.5 times? Half a workout or something??? Lol
No you just work out only half in the gym during dawn or dusk when its only half day.
I don’t do half workouts, okay?
If you’re going every other day, then the next week you would do Tu Thu Sat. 4 one week, 3 the next.
4+3=7
7/2=3.5
Do you own a calendar?
Ummm yes I do own a calender you unswole weakling. I start on MONDAY okay? Get that through your head.
I know math I go to Colledge OKAY
Okay brianiac. If you start on Monday every week and do M W F Su, you would have to perform your full body workout Sunday and Monday. TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS. That is no longer a full body workout every other day unless you have some sort of Time Machine.
I find it hard to believe you went to college when you cannot even understand grade 2 math.
No, you don't count the sunday you just roll over to the next week that's why it's 4-5 omg you clearly don't get enough protein maybe your muscles are swole but you brain is NOT
Mayb if U went to colleg ud understand...
Why not just work out every other day and don't bother counting the weeks?
I'm pretty sure I remember stumbling onto this thread from a workout forum a few months ago but I can't find it so I might have hallucinated it. I can't tell if sulvor is in on it, just playing the part perfectly on accident, or if I'm completely misremembering something that didn't happen.
Wow I can’t believe this is still going, what is with you people? All muscle no brain huh lol
The Dumbest Boy Alive is a rundown of the thread. Yeah, i was getting some flashbacks too for a second.

Omg don't tell me you don't know how many days are in a week either. Soooooo dumb
Yeah you remember right, it was a thread from 2008 and that forum seems to be dead now unfortunately.
so sudden you hear the quiet summer breeze outside
i can't tell you what it's gonna be, i'd lie
out of credit i hear you suffer breath out loud
you know you're in it to see the summit
The fastest way to do it is the +500 calorie surplus for a few months and then the -500 calorie deficit. Not wanting to get fat is getting in the way, giving you more mediocre results, and making the process slower and more frustrating (in my opinion).
If you're a nooby little bird brained bird then any kind of workout is probably going to give you gains. If the strength gains plateau then so does the progress and then you're just pushing a bunch of silly things around for silly reasons. You won't get that stimulus response that tells your body to make all the cool stuff unless you can put up bigger numbers on your lifts week over week. It sounds like a lot of reps on every muscle every week. Reminds me of this short, poignant video that I found deep within the archives of my computer soul https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYQDo1tNCl8
It might not be overtraining because you might not be using heavy ass weights and if it were overtraining you would feel it and you wouldn't really have to ask.

So you want to train five days a week? That sounds a little excessive
