Because the people who can afford a 4 year cruise are totally the same that will be negatively affected by a Trump presidency.

It’s $40k/year that includes all living expenses as far as I can tell (with options to upgrade for better food, drinks, and lodging, of course). There are liberal retirees who would otherwise be in assisted living but don’t need the sort of medical resources that a full on retirement home provides whom this isn’t an awful deal for if you don’t think about it too hard

You may have to pay for your bandwidth, and it's usually slow. I don't think it's consistant enough to be used for work if you have to upload files or have conference calls.

But anyway, I don't think that liberal retirees and desk workers privileged enough to be allowed to fully work from home are the demographic that will have to hide on a cruise ship.

Yeah you’ve pretty much just gotta ignore that and hope it doesn’t cause problems, especially if you’re elderly

The journey will hit 425 ports across 140 countries. Villa Vie Odyssey will first spend a month in the Caribbean, before venturing out on a 4-month trip to South America, including two Panama Canal transits, two World Wonders, the Chilean Fjords, an Antarctic sail-by, Carnival in Rio, and eight days in the Amazon River.

“Villa Vie Odyssey, which is home to up to 600 Residents, just entered its 2nd month of its 15-year tour around the world,” the cruise line said. “She’ll visit all 7 continents, 13 of the World Wonders and over 100 tropical islands along the way.”

hell yeah i'm going to get drunk every day in a giant hotel casino that apparently stops by many famous places of great beauty that me or my slot machine buddies might only see through the porthole because we're busy drinking old people cocktails and eating shrimp and mac and cheese every day. life is good

Pretty sure if you try to live on a cruise ship for four years straight you will also be skipping all subsequent presidential terms.

I might join this cruise and then beg Yemenis to sink it. I don't know if I can handle reading Trump Derangement Syndrome headlines for another four years. Every site I look at has wall-to-wall coverage of every little fart he makes. I'm so sick of hearing about this dude

Him and Musk. They are the leaders that liberals deserve. I accept that. But please can they make their media slightly less insufferable.

If y'all see me post that I'm going on a cruise, just know that I will be self immolating while loading up my plate at the all you can eat buffet. I cannot stand cruises and we have some friends that keep suggesting we should go on a Disney cruise... I can't express my disdain for the cruise industry without having people never wanting to talk to me again.

Anyone who has the means to do that will probably not, because they know deep down Trump is there to help people like them.

On the other hand it is cheaper to just go on neverending cruises than it is to go into eldercare. Or it was at one point anyway

They won't even escape trumps presidency unless the whole boat is a no internet/cable news zone. They'll still be watching MSNBC/CNN & checking Twitter, and seeing trump-moist constantly in the news would be one of their bigger complaints and reason to "escape" in the first place

the other group this is aimed at are those who figure an endless cruise is better than a retirement home and I don't really blame them. Maybe not this specific one because who'd want to be stuck on a boat with not-listening maybe-later-honey maybe-later-kiddo but I can see the appeal of just being shipped around on a floating hotel to see different tourist trap ports.

so long as you aren't concerned with the horrendous working conditions of the crew, the environmental impact of the ship, the impact of cruises on the communities they visit, etc...
